He didnt play bad for an average goalie but thats not what he is this year, he's in the conversation for the Vezina. He's been stealing games all year much like Shesterkin has for us. If we're expecting 5 more the next time we play him i think we'll be disappointed.

Expecting 5 goals will be a disapppointment for all hockey fans except possibly for Florida fans.

I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting Miller’s game to improve this much.. he was incredibly soft defenseman and would not even hit the smaller players. Now he seams to finish all his checks on those softer types of players and is showing a nice ability to rush the puck. Even jumping in to the play offensively his timing has improved.. maybe it is the supporting grit we add this year.. he has back up from not only Reeves.. was a hitter in college? Maybe we will even see a fight from him now that he has to stand up for himself if he is going to do a little hitting..

Last thing I want to see is Miller fighting. Want him in the lineup.

I can't think of a Rangers defenseman in my lifetime who improved this much from one season to another.

If Tampa gets Carolina or Florida.... it's doable.

I honestly think Carolina and Florida will be upset again.

reposting this here, as it'd be more relevant.

Pittsburgh had a lot more purse swinging last night without Reavo on the ice. It's human nature. I know a lot don't like him but the tendency is, opponents play differently when the biggest/baddest man isn't dressed.

I think Motte and Brodz are fast enough to make up for Reaves. I'd try Motte Brodz Reavo if other teams start taking liberties.

Totally doable next year cap wise if coop’s asking price really is 5 mil per
I really do like Vatrano's speed and goal scoring. It's a shame we can't keep everyone.

I'm not sold on Blais. He's literally hurt every season. Can't rely on him

You can say it, but it doesn't make it true. I remember Shesterkin being steamrolled against Tampa just a few days ago when Reaves "the deterrent" was in the lineup.

Lafrenniere Jumps off the screen on the left wing … HE IS A LEFT WING GERRY …
Stop fck n with this kid

I don’t care about depth or Copp - let them all adjust - you don’t play your 20 year old - 1 overall out of position- asinine.

WD-40 happens to be the WORST product out therefor whst you would like it to do. (Told by an expert, and have similar sentiments through usage) Do NOT buy it.
I find it works for what I need it which is pretty much squeaky hinges, loosening metal caps etc….

He didn't play bad and he was left out to dry. Only the first goal may have been considered a bad one. The Rangers had 20-25 high quality scoring chances. If the team in front of him plays as poorly as they did tonight then yeah I would expect another 5 goals.

He was leaky on some of the goals but made some incredible saves. If the Pens had Carter Harter in net it would have been a repeat of that 9-0 game. We had an odd man rush every time down ice.

This is pretty good. One of Cullye, Othmann, and maybe a Ruscheoff or Paju take Johny Brodz or Hunt's spot by end of year (and I don't mean as fourth liner but in the starting 12).

He was pretty amazing out of the gate and has even had a bit of an up and down season by his standards where he's looked very mortal at points. I think the point they're trying to make is that Miller keeps ironing out the wrinkles in his game. He's done nothing but improve time and time again.

Sunday could be a trap game. Buffalo isn't great, but can be dangerous when they're firing on all cylinders. Hopefully we bring this same intensity and purpose.

Still pretty high on last night's game. God that was good. Might be our best game of the season.

From here on out, it's not the top teams that worry me. It's the Devils, Sabres and Senators of the league.

Oh btw folks, fcking Carl from summer house was at the game wearing a Crosby jersey. And i hated it, and gave him the stink eye. The fact i was wearing a faux fur coat and it was in the bathroom didn't help matters
My wife will appreciate this information

I prefer PB Blaster myself, but WD-40 was stumbled upon in the experiments for something else. Thus the bad play on words by me.

Fox went from 45 points to Norris trophy.

Miller’s progression is starting to look good but it’s not that kind of jump. Very hyperbolic

Fox’s underlying numbers in his first season were just as good as his Norris season. 45 points with minimal PP time is insane for a dman, it’s not really a surprise what he did last year as soon as he started playing more.

I don't entirely disagree. Maybe I overvalue his possible offensive contribution. Sitting back and thinking about it a bit more, if he stayed exactly as his is, I'd be fine with him. I do think He's more capable of putting up points, though. Either way, he's on track for one hell of a career.

If he can play with some snarl... man he will be a joy to watch.

That debate is a whole can of worms.

Fox went from playing at the level of, what I'd argue was a #3 his first season to Norris.

Miller went from playing at the level of a #6 (Albeit with flashes and dips) to the level of a #3.

Trouba has also been a McDonagh for us this season- a 1st pairing quality defender playing on the 2nd pair because he's behind a Norris candidate.
