Finally, not in regards to Allen- I know a lot of the d line has gone AWOL (Basham, Epenesa, etc...), but what the heck is up with Oliver? Basham and Epenesa I thought would be good depth pieces, but they've struggled lately. Whatever- I didn't have high expectations for them, but I did for Oliver. The addition of Miller seemed like it was going to take Oliver's game to the next level, and he's seemingly fallen flat on his face. Pretty frustrating. Perhaps he's still dealing with an injury because he was great last year.

I think Oliver is just fine. One of the really nice features of The Athletic is that Joe B goes through the All-22 film and grades every player every week.

Oliver got a B+ against GB (8th highest)
Oliver got a B+ against the Chiefs (8th highest)
Oliver got a B against the Steelers (25th)

So since the injury, he's being graded as above average to well above average. He's just not making the pop plays or showing up on the stat sheet. But he IS affecting plays.

Twitter needs to go in a fiery car wreck over a cliff

Growing up I'd have to either keep my ear pinned to the radio (WGR) during non school hours or wait for the Buffalo News to drop the next day. So while twitter is a fiery cesspool of shit, it's still an improvement over the past (on most days)

Apparently 95.1 in Rochester reported yesterday that he was getting "a second opinion" (haven't heard that anywhere else yet) and reported today that he was "in" for Sunday.

TL;DR: The radio (or at least certain stations) sucks too.

I would buy that reason for postponing the interview if Kyle wasn’t tweeting about the interview hours before that.

Now I am truly starting to get a bit nervous. I need to stop checking for updates until there’s a real one.😂

Breaking: The Raiders are releasing S Johnathan Abram.

The Raiders attempted to trade Abram before last Tuesday’s deadline but were unsuccessful. Abram will be subject to waivers, but would become an unrestricted free-agent if he goes unclaimed.

Abram, 26, has recorded 48 total tackles, 35 solo, and one pass defense in eight games this season.

The Raiders selected Abram with the 27th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Isn't he more of a run-stopping thumper from the safety position and relatively awful in coverage?
More or less. He’s flashed the few times I’ve watched them and seemed to play great against Buffalo. I think he’d be much more of an upgrade than Johnson. Not sure of the cap implications as we need to save our money for OBJ :)

I love Reich and would gladly add him to our staff in some capacity for some rehabilitation. He's done a lot well in Indy, but ultimately someone needed to take the fall for all of the disasterous QB moves. Probably should've been the GM, but alas he's not firing himself.

As I think about it more, I would love for them to bring in Reich as a sort of senior advisor or something. Not to call plays or anything that hands on or anything like that, but just to give some more perspective on breaking the offensive out of its slump. He's nothing if not a great offensive mind. Obviously he has the Buffalo connection and I imagine he and McDemrott are familiar with each other given their joint ties to the Eagles.
I also really like Reich. I came here to post how I hope Buffalo adds him.
