I love Reich and would gladly add him to our staff in some capacity for some rehabilitation. He's done a lot well in Indy, but ultimately someone needed to take the fall for all of the disasterous QB moves. Probably should've been the GM, but alas he's not firing himself.

Or Irsay!

As I think about it more, I would love for them to bring in Reich as a sort of senior advisor or something. Not to call plays or anything that hands on or anything like that, but just to give some more perspective on breaking the offensive out of its slump. He's nothing if not a great offensive mind. Obviously he has the Buffalo connection and I imagine he and McDemrott are familiar with each other given their joint ties to the Eagles.

Agree with both posts.

Typically when a former HC or OC is brought onto a coaching staff mid-season, they go into the "quality control" role. That's nothing more than a coach that's scouting their own team to look at internal tendencies, etc.

Maybe a senior offensive advisor, and someone that Dorsey can lean on. Plus, is Dorsey eventually leaves for a HC job, you've got the built in replacement.

Yeah, both of those sort of titles sound right to me. And fully agree on adding another experienced option to be in the running for OC when Dorsey inevitably leaves (along with Brady). Reich would also be a great voice to have in the room given his accomplishments as a player as well as being a super bowl winning OC.

Saturday getting the coach job has strong Pegula giving Adams the GM job vibes. Owner is fed up with everything and hires a guy he’s known forever and likes who doesn’t actually have the traditional experience for the job.

Im sure Saturday has leadership qualities and is smart enough to rely on his team like Adams is…the job is just so incredibly different. Managing an office and managing a team are so different. And asking him to jump in midseason with a team who is done and coaches who haven’t had any answers seems like he’s set up to fail immediately. Which I guess is the point for a draft pick. But man…can you imagine walking into an NFL head coaching job with dozens and dozens and dozens of coaches and players who now answer to you…and there’s a game coming right up?

at least Adams could sit back and evaluate and learn intricacies at a respectable pace. This is just being tossed into a volcano.

Apparently there are Twitter rumblings that the news is bad on Josh. Real bad. From semi-reliable sources apparently.

I am hoping this isn't the case...........
If he’s really injured do you think people will recognize that his two bad injuries in his career came from standing in the pocket and not running…or use the injury he got not running to talk about how he has to run less because he gets hurt?

Yep. It reeks of Irsay wanting eyes & ears in the locker room and front office. Saturday is someone he’s known for decades and has already been advising him on team related matters.

Ouch. That’s a big loss.

What is it with crazy amounts of Injuries on defense for both the Bills and Sabres this season??
The offenses are finally good. Sports gods won't tolerate both units being good at the same time for too long.

Bummer loss, missed the bulk of it but watched some truly depressing highlights. Likely a blip, not sure it will have much bearing on our ability to beat KC in January but still sucks losing in division.

The trade deadline has passed. We can’t get anyone from anyone except for free agent signings and we have next to zero cap even if there is someone off the street who would be serviceable (PS there isn’t)
Ahhh shit. Yeah whiffed that it just past. Maybe we can convince them to “cut” one for a future favor.
