People complain to HR about all kinds of things that aren’t worthy of making a complaint about.
Usually it’s because an employee is fighting for their job and it’s a last ditch effort to turn the tables on management in an attempt to save your job.
This ‘story’ doesn’t say anything except that a complaint was made, investigated and no one is getting fired.
That usually means no one actually did anything seriously wrong.

You could say that about any job. Ultimately bosses cannot verbally abuse employees. What constitutes verbal abuse is a different issue. But there are a lot of levels between kindergarten and the adult world. So your comparison falls flat.

Good to know so many are cool being yelled at by bosses. The issue is nothing to with people being soft or anything, it’s the fact that a professional decided yelling at people is a good way to manage.

Lots of dumb comments like “It’s a hockey team”. So? Is Andrew Heydt on the hockey team? Is Bill Guerin? No. They’re office workers like you and me.
If you had a boss who would yell and swear at you, maybe even in front of others and generally acted like an unhinged asshole, you’d do something about it. Theres something called professionalism in the workplace. This isn’t one teammate swearing at another teammate in a hockey game. This is a professional office environment and that behaviour is not appropriate.

You can’t treat employees like shit. That’s the new social norm. The “in my day” nonsense doesn’t fly anymore.
