Anyone catch Jack Edwards filthy remark towards Kase?

“Ondrej Kase - had more concussions than points with the Bruins”

That f***er simply needs to go.

I only have about a 15 game experience as a colour commentator in a little country, but I would never ever think about saying anything like this, and he is doing it regularly, while millions of people are watching. How this guy still has a job is beyond me.

When Mikheyev comes back, as snake bitten as he has been, he may be able to bring some offensive jump to get Kase going.

I really like Kase's game. He just needs to get some bounces going his way.
Robidas Island is a one way trip, friend.

Something that isn't getting enough attention is the fact that Simmonds has looked pretty good the last 3-4 games. Creating chances. Taking a lot of shots. If he can chip in a few it would be so helpful.

I don't totally disagree, but I also think criticism on an icing in that scenario is overblown. I'd rather see them ice the puck (especially with a chance at the empty net), take a breath, and get a face-off than risk turning the puck over if an easy transition is not available. I think you're more likely to give up a scoring chance by making a turnover than you are off the draw. Icing the puck also kills a few seconds, at least.

Nothing to do with fighting the good fight. It’s about being a realistic fan not a child that gets giddy when they win. By your very comment you are trying to police the people that see things differently then you. If you want to have a sensible conversation I’m willing anytime but until then run along
I think it's about being a dick

Campbell needs relief.

Can't keep pushing forward with him taking 80% of the starts this early, and without experience taking that workload.

Mrazek will be back eventually, but let him rest for now. As far as I know, he has a history of injuries, but they have all been unique, it isn't like he has a bad groin, so it's more so he has just been unlucky.

Agree, but not sure Mrazek will provide that.

Just saw the highlights... man I would he livid if that first goal went against Toronto but happy with the win!

Keep it rolling boys.

Yup but he is doing all the right things and eventually he will put it in the basket and then the flood gates will open. We need to get some secondary scoring going if we hope to keep this heater going!
Agreed. Always thought it would take him approx 20 games to get his legs and hands back... So far this is holding true.

Cool stat from Sportsnet

P/GP against Bruins among active players:
1. Marner 1.6
2. Crosby 1.28

Marner also has the Maple Leafs all time best P/GP against the Bruins, which is even more impressive considering Boston has been a top 5 team his entire career.

What's Taveres' as a Leaf?

I'd be interested to know.

He came right at them tonight guns a blazin'

Is it just me or does Matthews not look right?

I know he scored 2 today, one was a tap in, the other the goalie should have arguably had. He shot it right at the goalie.

Last season Matthews was sniping and picking corners from everywhere. This season, he keeps passing off and seems almost reluctant to shoot, and when he does his shot doesn't have the same accuracy (picking corners) that it used to. Now it's almost always right at the goalie, no variation. Am I the only one that notices it?

I think it is more so just bad puck luck, but he may also still need to regain some strength in his wrist.

Regardless, he is shooting more than last year, so I don't think he is reluctant to shoot.

He missed training camp + first 3 games. His timing does look off.

I'm not worried at all, it'll come back soon.

Hopefully they don't stop working for their paychecks.....
It certainly looks like this team does not want to lose. They had a taste of that to begin this season, and it sure did not sit well.
