No complaints about this win, everybody was great tonight, Campbell came up big when he had to but Marner with 4 points, Tavares with 3 points, Matthews with 2 goals, Rielly with 2 assists, Nylander got another assist everybody was great for 60 minutes even though they gave up the 1st goal they were on all night.

Terrific game. Real fun to watch.

Hey, where's that guy who told me "That does not reflect the reality" when I said Matthews would get going and this was just a slow start?

Is it just me or does Matthews not look right?

I know he scored 2 today, one was a tap in, the other the goalie should have arguably had. He shot it right at the goalie.

Last season Matthews was sniping and picking corners from everywhere. This season, he keeps passing off and seems almost reluctant to shoot, and when he does his shot doesn't have the same accuracy (picking corners) that it used to. Now it's almost always right at the goalie, no variation. Am I the only one that notices it?
Matthews has scored a ton of goals 'shooting right at the goalie', his shot is not only quick, it's extremely heavy. A lot of the games top goal scorers score goals that go right through goalies. And I mean he literally went bar down from 5 feet away 2 games ago. Don't forget he essentially missed a month between training camp + preseason+ the first week of the season.

Matthews has also trained his shot during summer, which wasn't an option this year. So it probably takes bit time to get into normal form. Without normal repetitions.

Well, that was fun to watch. Good games by a lot of players, especially Tavares and Marner.

Not so good. ESPN here only offered the Bruins-telecast this morning, so I had to suffer through some dreadful announcing instead of the soothing voice of Chris Cuthbert.

'Ondrej Kase had more concussions than points as a Bruin', was the lowlight of the night.

Even the co-commentator seemed to be sick of his play-by-play-guy. 'According to your OWN answers it was a valid goal', as the guy kept bringing up wether the first goal should have counted.

In Leafsland a brief shoutout to Ondřej Kaše. He shows an enormous amount of energy and hustle on every shift and was very effective as a penalty killer. I like his line with Kämpf and Engvall in general. They do a lot of good things on the ice and I am sure points will follow.

Legitimately the ONLY thing I was unhappy with was the Bunting penalty that was just dumb but it didn't cost them the game
