Mike Richter game 6 against the Devils in the Eastern Conf Final - 1994
He gets overshadowed by the Messier guarantee and hat tricking the third, but giving nothing after the first was huge. Also Kovalev's thee-point game (G,2A) and Lidster stepping in for Beaukeboom.

I was at that game and the energy slowing draining out of the Devil fans that building was palpable..

Not a full game but Richter put on a performance during a Minnesota Wild 5 on 3 that I will never forget. There's a crappy video of it somewhere on the interwebs.
Yeah those like 3 split saves to the posts on opposite sides and the puck kept popping straight up in the air and he would be a split second late reacting each time and still split like crazy and make the save. That sequence is seared in my memory. I remember that being in the "stop the rock" highlight video from his jersey retirement ceremony.

Hank back to back shutouts in game 6 and 7 vs Washington in 2013
These along with game 7 vs Pittsburgh in 2014 have got to be it for me. Also his Game 7 vs Montreal in 2014 and Game 4 vs LA in 2014 deserve mention as well.

His whole series vs Washington in 2015 and vs Montreal in 2017 both were also insane. That Washington series in 2015 was absurd because Holtby was also lights out so there was zero room for error.

to this day game 7 against Pitts in 2014 has the best save I've ever seen Hank make.

9:12 on Martin. the f***ing loose shoulder on his jersey made that save with 8 players in front of him after an absolute flurry right before it. after that save the game was effectively over. if that didn't go in, nothing was. Also, to me this represents the desperation of Crosby/Malkin Pens version 1.0 trying to not go down as disappointments and Hank just stopped like, absolutely everything but the kitchen sink.

I don't to go through this whole thread to see if I mentioned it but I still remember game 5 against the Sabres in the 2007 ECSF being one of his best ever. It just gets overshadowed by Drury's late goal and the loss in OT.

Game 7 vs. Vancouver. 1994. Don't let Vancouver tie the game and you win the Cup. Richter didn't. The moment matters. If I was going to give this out on technical merit it's probably a random regular season Hank shutout that nobody remembers.

2012 | NYR @ WSH | Game 3 | 2-1 OT

Lundqvist made 45 saves on 46 shots, the 4th most saves he fade in a single playoff game.

Like this is absolutely insane.

Best game for the Rangers? Richter in 94 vs. the Devils, Game 6 when you consider the stakes. He was unbelievable in that game. Without Richter, Messier never even gets the chance to get his historic hat trick. As if that wasn't enough he then stifles Bure (who was on fire that post season) on a penalty shot in Game 4 of the Final.

Game 6 against NJ was the best game ever by a Rangers goalie, while the Game 4 Bure penalty shot is the biggest singular save ever by a Rangers goalie. If Leetch doesn't have the greatest post season for a Defenseman in NHL history, Richter easily wins the Conn Smythe Trophy that year.

Richter in 97 against NJ was also amazing. Brodeur once said the one goalie he HATED playing against was Richter because he always put up his best performance against him and the Devils, lol.
