Honestly, it looks worse as a whole considering had they just resigned Kadri years ago they would have never needed to trade:

Doesn't seem likely Nelson is going to re-sign either. Avs still haven't found a 2C since Kadri despite spending a ton of assets trying to do so. Really looks like they should've bit the bullet and give Kadri an extension

Can't say I've followed the west that much, but for my own team Marchand has sparked the 3rd line.
Seth Jones held down the fort when Ekblad was detoxing from roids.
Good on both sides of the ice and came up big in game 7 last night.

Sturm was a solid depth trade. Was better round 1, but Nosek just was a better matchup against the Leafs.

Marchand over Granlund for me, he upgraded 3rd line into 2B line and has been more consistant. I like Granlund too, he is underappreciated warrior.

Florida alrady had a dominant 3rd line in last years playoffs

They are just now getting more attention from media with Marchand on it

Granlund also had a hattrick and so far Dallas has been a 1 line team on offense, a line where Granlund plays so that’s why I would agree for Granlund over Marchand so far

They are just now getting more attention from media with Marchand on it

Last year was a very good line, but this year it’s better by good margin. It’s mainly because stylistically Marchand fits that line perfectly, and he’s the offensive driver in that line. I know Lundell was a beast last year in playoffs, but synergy in that line is much better this year. Tarasenko was a solid player in that line, but there wasn’t same level of synergy between all 3 players.

Gotta give Marchand his flowers, he is arguably front runner for Conn Smythe from Panthers right now.

He's a big enough douche to be a perfect fit on their roster.
