Avs fans said they traded for Coyle as a cap dump to get out the , according to them , terrible Casey Mittelstadt contract , so idk

Honestly, it looks worse as a whole considering had they just resigned Kadri years ago they would have never needed to trade:

Bowen Byram, Calum Ritchie, William Zellers, 1st, 2nd, 3rd for Charlie Coyle & Brock Nelson

Doesn't seem likely Nelson is going to re-sign either. Avs still haven't found a 2C since Kadri despite spending a ton of assets trying to do so. Really looks like they should've bit the bullet and give Kadri an extension
