I just saw Bedard's goal from last night. That's the kind of stuff I expected when he was drafted.

Michkov is awesome. I'd still take Bedard over him, without even thinking about it.
If MM is lucky, he'll continue to go toe-to-toe with Bedard offensively. But Connor still has the added luxury of playing the premium position.
Still, Philly fans should be thankful that a player like that fell, more or less, into their laps at 7th overall. They didn't have to hardly wait for the kid either; one year and he's here. Both fanbases are rightfully elated.

I don't need stats or graphs to know how little help Bedard has had. I watch the games. I guess this might be helpful to anyone who hasn't seen them play.

Bedard on pace for only16 goals..Is this a KD failure to find hom help...or is Bedard not doing what he did last seasonin getting free to release his "genereatuonal shot" ...because either a) opps checking him harder...or B) Bedard is more shy this season in getting to the middle best slot area (gun shy from his bei g clicked last seasonand missing time)?
Whatever he justcdoes notcseem as "free " as he was last season...Coukd akso be his goal production lack isxweighing in him whereas last season was a freebie for hom ...also he does seem better defensiveky this season so that takes energy away from his offensive attack energy..

I haven’t given up yet, and I hate to take his side…. But most nights the Blackhawks play really, really boring hockey.

I am not going to go out and say that this team is a joy to watch and action packed, but I really question these fans that on the one hand pretend they are OK with tanking and the rebuild that follows, but then on the other become impatient a month into the season. The reality of the situation is that while the Blackhawks are better on paper this year, they are still bottom 5 in the league as far as talent. They have been within one goal in the 3rd in almost every game this year, and have shown pushback late in games pretty consistently.

Last year had the novelty of Bedard's rookie season and the unexpected emergence of Alex Vlasic
The roster is mildly better this year, except there's nothing interesting going on
Every game has been a one goal game in the third except one.
The Hawks play with more compete and more structure. The team D is improved and they look like they care
Other than the recent Wings game all the games have been entertaining

This is what happens when you surround a generational player with garbage in his most important years, you decelerate his development, pathetic GM and owner
As much as can make out in the hieroglyphics, I agree and would to see Bedard use both sides of his stick more.
If there are highlights of Bedard's backhanders out there I'd appreciate if someone could direct me to it.

From my observations Bedard is an excellent passer on the backhand. To date, he has seldom taken shots from his backhand but I do remember at least one attempt .....one that he basically flubbed.

Who would you have signed this offseason? What players would you have surrounded him with. Kane has been mostly garbage this year, he wouldn't be helping much at all.

Only 4 goals on 92 shots. On goal..
.
For this sesson only so far thru 16GP only 3 goals on .52 shots on goal..
Hard to score goals...even with alleged Generational shot,when you spend too mich of the games hemmed in your d'-zone ....hard to score goals when Hawks PP more often fizzles instead of taking advantage...
It also does not help when you do gets some shotscon goal that your shot is not beating goalies at a respectable rate far below league average..
