In order of priority for upgrade:

1. WR
2. Center
3. Guard (or Davis plays a lot better)
4. Safety
5. Edge rusher

WR and Center should be addressed with the (2) 1st round picks - maybe be trading down with the Bears pick (9-12) or used on a center if there is one worthy of a 1st round pick.

Neither has Caleb Williams or anyone else in the draft.
Agree on the need, but first round picks don’t get used on centers.

Well, Linderbaum did, and it was a good pick by the Ravens, but he also allowed 2 sacks and 11 hurries in 2300 snaps in college. There isn't a center in this draft that comes close to him as a prospect.

Also I think a lot of people on Twitter are overestimating what the bears can get for the 1 and still get MHJ
I haven’t seen what you’re referring to, but there’s a lot of leverage as long as Washington and New England are two and three, and both want a QB.

The bears aren’t getting 2 firsts and 2 seconds and a player to move back 2 spots

Likely not, but it all depends on how teams evaluate Caleb and who wants it bad enough. If the Giants offer you the moon and the stars, Commanders or Patriots might offer you the moon.

In a vacuum yeah it’s not worth it to move up from 2 to 1. I agree.

Man, the Giants are in such a dire situation. Their cap penalty for Daniel Jones if they cut him is almost $70M in 2024, and is still $22M in 2025.

As is to be expected, people on Twitter aren't really operating in reality.

Michigan playing Alabama at 4pm. Keep an eye on Harbaugh for obvious signs he's gonna be a bear in 2024 such as his gaining a lot of weight to prepare for the winter, or declining to eat cheese.
If the Bears hire Harbaugh, I'm out.

Sure, that was the price to go from 1 to 9. If we can get half that to go from 1 to 3 and still get MHJ that would be amazing. That extra 1st we get will be top ten next year once again.

Our wins this year.

Jared Goff
Josh Dobbs
Brian Hoyer
Taylor Heinecke
Bryce Young
Kyler Murray
Sam Howell

Am I the only one who is just a little concerned about running it back all the same?

The NFL is also absolutely terrible.

If you take out the Carolina win, Chicago averaged 30 points in those games. Those qb’s weren’t playing defense.

Yeah. There was some really bad play this year across the league.

We lead the league in interceptions. Having the ball a lot with good field position is a factor in team performance
Part of being a good team is being able to consistently beat bad teams. A team’s record is what it is, they don’t need to apologize for their wins.

Okay then why are we taking away the Carolina game in your other conversation?

I’m just asking the question. We’ve beat one good team this year.

The score was an outlier.
They put up 12 vs the Dobbs Vikings and 10 vs Browns.

Not all wins in the NFL are the same when you’re evaluating performance.

They don’t need to apologize for winning them, but I can take who they’re against as context in an evaluation.

They scored 17 against the Browns in a loss, you were casting aspersions on their wins. You’re correct that I misremembered the score of the Vikings game.

Sure context matters, and for context they were losing every game last year against both good and bad teams. And no one’s saying it’s a finished product.
