Young can bulk up a bit to Brees territory. Not exactly hard to do

Tua, Kyler, Russell Wilson in the last 2-3 years have had some great seasons.

Then obviously Brees is the HOF example.

I think Young is an elite prospect. Not a generational one due to the height. And being elite doesn't mean he's a sure thing of course.

But his tape vs Georgia last year is meaningful. He basically torched a pseudo NFL defense.
Not sure how you see adding 15-20 pounds to a small/thin-framed player is “easy to do.” Basically every draft evaluator points to his build as being an issue, so I’m pretty confident in saying that he’s not going to suddenly turn into a well-built guy. It’s not like Alabama’s training staff is some 2nd-rate crap not getting him to his full potential

Tua is taller and weighs 20-25 pounds more and Russ weighs 10-15 pounds more while being shorter. Brees and Russ are, once again, major outliers and still have better builds.

Kyler and to a lesser extent Tua are not exactly massive successes as shorter QBs.

Young is simply not an elite QB prospect. I would love it if he was because the Bears would have more leverage, but he simply isn’t. Elite QB prospects are virtual locks to go 1oa and have basically no competition in their draft class (only exception was Luck/RG3). Young is not a sure fire 1oa that you feel super confident is going to become your franchise QB as he has a major red flag. Look at the difference in hype between him and a Luck, Lawerence, Burrow, RG3. It’s not particularly close.

I didn’t realize Lawrence was so highly touted. I guess I just don’t see it and don’t follow college too much. This has nothing to do with this game fwiw.
Ya he was crowned as being the next Luck in high school. I remember reading about him when he was like 15 and he always lived up to the hype from then until the draft. Dude checked all the boxes.

I would also be wary of Young’s size.

Brees is the best case scenario comp long term. Floor maybe around what Baker did in his PO year with the Browns in year 3 of his rookie deal.

Stroud, I don’t know. Good all around but nothing amazes you about him. Expect Dak level of play without the TO.

Levis, i see a ceiling of Wentz pre ACL and a floor of wentz over the past 3 seasons. Greatest ceiling but lowest floor. Have to trust your HC and OC to develop him.

Aside from Baker, all other 6 feet and shorter WBs ending up playing in decent to ok weather teams. Brees in SD and NO, Tua in Miami. Russ in Seattle. Outdoors but not windy. Rain but not downpours. Murray in AZ. Baker in Cleveland.

Young, I would draft him if he’s on the board but not trade up with a bunch of futures for him. But that’s me and I’m not in Indy’s, Car or Atl shoes for example.

Cowboys win 31-14

Good for Cowboys

People were all hoping they would fail for some reason (f*** Brady,, Why would you want Brady to win)

I grew up watching Cowboys kick ass (For a few years) and being lesser evil (f*** the 49ers) so I have no problem with them and NFL is in better place when Dallas is good

I never got the Cowboy hate or reason so many people hate them.

They're like the Canadians or Leafs of the NFL, every year they're talked up way too much

It's hard to like the Cowboys as long as Jerry is involved.

Dak Prescott with a historic performance, too.

Lots of their fans are just fine. Lots of their fans are annoying as ****. Plus the fact that wherever they go, it pisses people off that a third or half the seats get taken over by Cowboys fans. At times last night it sounded like a Dallas home game.

But yeah I think a lot of it is they were pounded into people over and over for decades. Their 90s dynasty team had some real a-holes on it too.

For us older folks, we were force fed the “America’s Team” bullshit for 2 decades.
2 or 3 times on MNF and if the weren’t they were the TV late game (3pm) most of the nation was forced to watch.
The NFL and the Networks pushing NFC east games to the late time slot also pissed those cities off.

Their fans are awful. So many tools. Then the whole "America's Team" nonsense, when they're regularly pretty bad. Then throw in their owner is a gigantic piece of shit... it's not hard to figure out.

Cowboys are the Yankees of the NFL, minus the modicum of recent success. Biggest fanbase that gets everything they do shoved down our throats, and the obnoxiousness of the toxic portion of their fanbase gets amplified by its shear size. They're just so damn easy to root against and especially laugh at, as they don't have anything to cheer about relatively recently. At least those Bronx douchebags have a World Series in the relatively recent past. This century, though? They'd be a footnote in the NFL history of the 21st Century if not for how many fans they have.

That still being said, I was glad those jerks stomped Brady.
