Giants, with one minute left, go for two after a td and make it, taking a one point lead. Gutsy call.

I picked the Vikings and Eagles to win their divisions, but it was pretty obvious if you bring a little common sense to it and look at all the rosters.

Rodgers being too lazy and not caring enough to get familiar with their new and/or young pass catchers in voluntary summer workouts didn't help. He had time to tear them down in TC in the media when they needed to be built up. He's a good regular season player, but not a leader. That was after they gave him a 1/4 $B. He's won the NFC Champ once. Over rated, repeat.

Fields looked bad, but willing to give him a pass due to conditions.
Quit watching sports. You literally should never watch or talk about sports again. You post some of the dumbest shit ever seen on a sports message board, regularly. And the pattern is on full display across multiple forums.

The 1st half was pretty abysmal.

In terrible conditions, with what is essentially an entirely new team. New o-line, new group of receivers, new coaches/coordinators, etc. Just stop with the stupid.

I'm glad I was wrong. The Bears have a competent coach who knows how to make adjustments at halftime, and Fields showed he has the ability to lead a team to victory despite adverse conditions.

I'm just going to chalk up the first half as first game jitters and nothing more. I think the 2nd half was more of what I expect to see from the Bears this season, a pluky, annoying team that better/more talented teams will have troubled putting away and/or lose the game.

The hot takes (mine included), like Eddie Jackson must go, etc, was in mid-season form.

Didn't I already say in my first comment that it was a throwaway game?

Idk what was so controversial it was objectively true.

I need to see more and agree with the idea that its unfair to evaluate Fields based on this game.

Idk how you could say he was anything but in the 1st half. 2nd half was much better. Overall not up to snuff though. I said I gave him a pass for weather related reasons. It's hard to play QB in a monsoon. That INT sticks out like a sore thumb and was very cringey. Inexcusable at this point.

It seemed like he was having a hard time gripping the ball in the rain.

Literally the only thing that matters about the Bears this year is Fields' development.
Do you know what the word “literally” means?
Fields development (and ability to not get killed) is, I agree crucial.
However
we need a few keepers on the OL.
We need a few WR to be keepers.
Hell, we need a few guys to grow into keepers at nearly every position.

There will be cap room to fill a few holes next year but a lot of the future better already be here and learning the ropes or next year you’re back to step one.
