Heart of Dixie
The fate of his brothers isn't on him. It's on their absentee father. He's done his job, and his offspring will hopefully never have to experience anything like this.
You're not wrong but the father did not give two rat's ass about staying, he's---if he is even still alive---is not going to take responsible for how those guys lives turned out, either. I agree it's not on Tarik, but that is not how Tarik obviously see's it. The only blessing for Tarik is that two of his brothers (I think he has one brother still alive, not 100% sure on that, though) are at peace and away from the life those brother chosed, so Tarik does not have their burden on his shoulders anymore.

I am rooting for Tarik to get another shot in the NFL.

His brother that was shot and paralyzed died last month in a car wreck. I believe he only had the two.

Yea in the article, the editor made a note at the very bottom of it.

Editor’s Note: In early April, only a few days after completing this essay about his family and their journey, Tarik Cohen lost his younger brother, Dante, in a fatal car accident. He would like to thank everyone for their prayers, condolences and messages of support. Our hearts go out to Tarik and his family.

Cheap and well liked #3 who you can either carry on roster or sign to practice squad if you don't want to carry 3 QB's on roster

Peterman comes in and learns offense/etc and at end of camp either you keep him or practice squad him if you like what you see

Also, could end up case of him being cut and told to "Wait by phone" if no other team signs him in first weeks as you figure out how you want to shake roster then sign him back

I am old school and prefer to carry 3 QB's. Too much risk not having that 3rd QB around IMO and I dont want to see Bears end up forced to use a WR or RB for a game or have to have a WR/RB as backup

Solid take.

@Blackhawkswincup How are you feeling? Doing ok? (PM if you want). I had two rough experiences with Covid 19 but no breathing issue. Severe exhaustion, major joint pain, and I lost my taste and smell (still don't have my smell back after finally getting it back from the first round).

Feeling better

Started to feel a little better Mon night

Right now just very tired, sore and coughing crap up (Getting shit up is issue)

Also more sore throat has lingered but I figure that might also because of all the coughing and stuff coming up

Oh you have COVID eh? Hope you keep getting better. My wife and I came back from Vegas on Saturday and sure enough, by late Monday and into Tuesday, we both have colds now. We both tested negative on the rapid tests.

kinda like the route that poles is going with the team and focusing on defense with the high draft picks and not rushing to commit long term to pieces for the offense, either fields is going to show that he's someone they build around by keeping the team in more games than they should be or he's going to struggle a lot and they can decide to pivot to one of the top qbs in the next draft...if he proves he's worth building around then they can go grab someone like njigba or they say nah lets move to bryce young or whoever is there in top 10

Tarik Cohen had another bad moment I believe. Sounds like he was recording his workouts live and got badly hurt.

Sad for Cohen

Given the injury and previous injuries and fact he will essentially miss 3 years' worth of play it's hard to see any scenario in which he comes back to play in NFL at this point
