While true, they could have held onto him as the QB3 into training camp and waited for injuries to happen and probably get a 5th to 7th rd pick for him.
This gives him the opportunity to pick a reasonable place where he could have a chance and without costing a pick some teams may be willing to sign him.
No they could not.

No one wanted him in trade and there is no point in keeping a declining and expensive #3 QB who will be inactive most of season when you can put a QB on practice squad or sign a cheap option to be #3 inactive

Is he even declining at this point? I think he bottomed out about 2 years ago.

Although we are shocked by the incident...

So shocking person who assaulted coworkers and last year made an angry threat he might do the such a thing once again in his lifetime assaults a coworker.

Is this normal in the NFL to fire scouts just days after the NFL draft????
Yes. It really is common for new gms to not be able change Staff until after a draft and some day Scouts contracts usually are based on ending just after the draft.

But to say, this scout said x about a player to me is the unorthodox thing

The Blackhawks themselves will probably have more scouting changes in July or August

Bears have a pretty easy travel schedule in terms of miles traveled, but man do the Steelers have a cushy travel schedule.

Never even leaving their time zone. Good schedule for their players and fans.

Every Bears fans needs to read Tarik Cohen's story of heartbreak and loss on "theplayerstribune." It's a reminder that we don't know anything about what goes in these players lives.

While the contract he signed might not have been the wisest from the Bears POV, I will never say another bad thing about the contract.

Damn

Must. Read.

You know what all these stories have in common? NO f***ING FATHER. [mod] Women raising kids on their own, having to work full time, because the father is nowhere to be found. And the males turning out exactly this way, because of the lack of a father. The largest common denominator amongst violent criminals? Single mothers raising them.

None of this is Tarik's responsibility. None of it is his fault. His guilt is misplaced. He should be hunting down their "father" and beating his f***ing ass to death. For being a deadbeat loser, and failing his "family".

And what the f***? $12M guaranteed can't sort this out? It just shows how badly these young men get sucked in.

Tarik is a hero, and shouldn't feel an ounce of guilt or regret. Because he's doing the most difficult thing imaginable. Breaking the cycle of despair and hopelessness.

The fate of his brothers isn't on him. It's on their absentee father. He's done his job, and his offspring will hopefully never have to experience anything like this.
