Good luck Justin. Talent on that side of the ball is going to be rough to say the least. Yikes

I would have gone with the best OL or WR with the first two picks because I really like Fields, but the secondary was terrible so those picks are fine. Then to spend a 3rd rounder on a returner who turns 25 in two weeks.

Can't help but wonder if Poles just doesn't view Fields as his guy, because they're putting him in an impossible position to succeed. New coaches, terrible WR talent, and terrible offensive line.

Take a look at Russell Wilson and Josh Allen’s WRs during their 2nd year. Rebuilding this team will take time and they have a lot of needs so getting two potential starters last night is a start. I think they have faith in Fields.

Poles doesn't have faith in Fields. And to be fair, he's looked mediocre.

He looked mediocre because of Matt Nagy. Let see what he can do with hopefully a legitimately good coach.

And fvck off to Ryan Poles. Drafting a player because of an "aura". That is some Marc Trestman level bullsh** right there.

My tennessee fan buddy swears that jones was held back by bum qb play until his sr season. Guess we'll see.

There's little doubt that V Jones brings a dimension to the Bears offense that they currently don't have on the roster. Whether he was the best option is debatable but I'm excited for the possibilities his usage brings on O and as a returner..

Translation: they couldnt find a single team willing to give anything for foles.
While true, they could have held onto him as the QB3 into training camp and waited for injuries to happen and probably get a 5th to 7th rd pick for him.
This gives him the opportunity to pick a reasonable place where he could have a chance and without costing a pick some teams may be willing to sign him.
