Just starting GM mode right now. Can you really not see a player's total career stats? Please tell me I'm just looking in the wrong screen, otherwise that's ridiculous.
Though it’s not perfect, a lot of the time I find, when a player has been scouted at least once and is listed as “low top 9 F” or “low top 6 D”, they are usually a really good pick. What are some draft strategies that you guys employ?
I know EXACT potential means he will lock in at that potential, normally at medium or low.
But what about in the later rounds? What are some tips to draft well beyond rounds 1 and 2?
So I have a couple of questions. I recently picked up playing NHL 16 on new gen and noticed a feature that wasn't there in previous games.
The game allows you to edit a player's position and even player type. It's been well established that based on player type, certain attributes will get favoured over others for player progression (eg. Snipers will favour shooting attributes, Playmakers will favour senses and puck skills, Power Forwards favour puck skills and physicality etc.).
So hypothetically, if I change a prospect's type from Playmaker to Sniper, does it mean he will from that point forward follow the development path of a Sniper, or will that player follow the default progression path? As an aside to this question, it seems that in the old-gen version of the games, Snipers and Playmakers produced more points compared to the other player types. Browsing through the top league scorers in my current game, that still seems to be the case. So in that situation, would a player produce more points if you changed his player type from Two-Way Forward to Sniper?
My second question concerns player development. The consensus seems to be that for optimal player development, the player needs to be placed in the role they are assigned to based on their ratings (eg 3rd line scorer, 2nd line, AHL top 2 etc.). How does the computer determine that you haven't violated this? Is it based on total playing minutes in a season?

3rd straight CUP. A DYNASTY IS BORN
Ovechkin was on fire not only in the regular season.
A record in the playoffs. After 2 seasons ago when he had 25 goals and have won the CS.
Now, he's the first player to score 30 goals in one playoff run
But he didn't won the Conn Smythe. 30 goals, 37 points, 9 GWGs wasn't enough. Billia gets a 2nd straight CS.
