My favourite to win the east. Very solid in all areas and don’t forget about jelsma either who is bound for 80+ points again

You guys are loading up like Saginaw did last year! Wow!

That defense and Hillebrandt could be the best in the league.

Jelsma is a real uncertainty right now. What's the extent of the injury? Will it require surgery? How will he be when he returns? But at least they have enough other horses to keep this thing going strong

According to an article in Barrie 360 it is a shoulder injury and he will be back in November and will not require surgery.

Well that lineup isn’t accurate now lol Grisolia and Jodoin both released by the colts. Must be Dubowsky made the team and both newtons will be in the lineup tomorrow night

That's too bad for both those guys. Wish them well. I think releasing Grisolia is a mistake, he would have been great in the bottom 6 as a grinder who wins a ton of faceoffs.

I don't think you'll see Akey or Beaudoin in the lineup, they'll probably still be up with the big clubs

While I agree I would have kept Jodoin around until Jelsma was back. Grisolia is replaceable by a younger player with more upside. Unfortunately he hasn't really improved in 3 seasons. We don't know what's going on behind closed doors either. Perhaps one or both wants to go to school or something as well.

I agree that Grisolia might be replaceable by younger player but I don't think they'll have the same size, strength and faceoff acumen that Gris would bring in the playoffs. In my opinion, those details matter and could be the difference between winning in the playoffs vs. bowing out early. Also, very good point about behind closed doors - perhaps he just wanted to go to school instead of play in the bottom six.

Very excited to see how they do tonight against the Wolves and super stoked for tomorrow night's home opener!

6-Foot-7 Ottawa Senators Prospect Ready to Stand Tall in the OHL

Gonan take him some time to adjust to the league took 3 pentalies last night 1 of them was questionable 1 was after he got slew footed the other was a cross check after the whistle. The thing he’ll have to learn especially in the ohl is that he’s bigger and stronger than everyone so refs will have there eyes on him all game so if he can learn to temper his physicality he’ll be a force. He doesn’t need to absolutely clean out someone’s clock to be effective defensively he’ll do enough damage by just giving a guy a bump here or there then punching or cross checking someone in the face. But in all honesty it is hilarious and fun to watch at the same time tho

watched last nights game thought Barrie started out very slow and didn’t really pick up the game till after they got down 1-0. Looked very sloppy but that’s to be expected in the first game of the year. Hopefully they can have a big game tonight at home and show the fans that this team is gonna be very legit this year. U could tell the colts were missing Jelsma and Beaudoin as those guys are definitely the heart and soul of this team. Akey still with Edmonton recovering but should be back in Barrie playing soon and that’ll really make that top 4 D a juggernaut

As was said above, a pretty sloppy start but boy did they ever shut things down in the final 30-40 minutes. Thought the line combos were a little weird and would have liked to see Vaughan get more opportunity while CoBo and Jelsma are out. That said, how good was Hillebrandt? Looked very calm and poised. Gonna have a monster season.

Lastly Elliason. Definitely needs to work on the discipline but he's gonna be fun to watch. Pretty mobile for his size too.

Looking forward to the home opener. Hopefully it's a big crowd.

Wish Marty wouldn’t try to even out the lines instead of loading up the top 2 lines for more scoring playing some of the guys he has playing together makes no sense to me

They have done well upgrading the players this year ..would have been nice to see an upgrade behind the bench as well
