He'll surprise everyone and come back to Barrie with Clarke from the WJC's...lol
Wouldn't be that surprising. They said pre-season that he'd come to the OHL if he wasn't getting playing time in the Czech pro league. He has 1 goal in 6 games so assume he's not playing much

@Devin what do we think about

To Barrie:
-Brett Harrison
-Nikita Parfenyuk

-To Oshawa:
-Rights to Eduard Sale (conditional that they talk to him first and confirm he’d come)
-2 2nds
-2 3rds

Barrie gets an elite 2 way centre and a really solid middle pair D for nobody off their roster. Gens get a stud 05 to put with Ritchie and Sennecke for the next 3 years

If Sale is #2 on Button's Mock then I'm not sure if I would do one for one. appreciate the talk tho.

Is there a reason why Harrison didnt average a point per game last year?

Speaking of sale, apparently he's sitting out every other game, playing 3rd line when playing so lets hope he reports. Believe Barrie is playing the waiting game as their IMPORT spot is still open.

I still say they deal for Mintyukov + Bloom as one of their big deadline deals as saginaw and barrie have always been trading buddies.

Love seeing the Petes walk into the building with a FULL lineup where everything goes right after 1.

@Roenick Jodoin: That was a sick set up for a disallowed goal that really should have been a goal. You are unreal.

Does Peterborough know Barrie is out 2 NHL'ers and has maybe 1/4 of the assets to deal at the TDL as opposed to Barrie?

He's an elite 2-way centre. Not going to put up 100 points but a full season this year I'd guess he would end at 80-85 points and 30-35 goals. Hurt right now but should be back in a week or so. Mintyukov is sick, but if you're trading for him, Sale has got to go... Would like the looks of Sale-Ritchie-Sennecke for 3 years lol

Cardwell back now, all we need now is Clarke back (which should happen within the next 8-9 days); Mintyukov, Bloom, and Johnston acquired at the deadline and then this team is memorial cup bound

I guess Marty has some decisions to make regarding his OA situation. Clarke probably won't be back for at least a month if at all. He had a really good rookie camp followed by a great main camp. He was given top minutes in all situations. He'll get his 10 games and maybe more.
Funny how LA Kings see one thing and Hockey Canada saw something different.

So you're going to release the rights to Eduard Sale?

Two of the people you mentioned aren't even going to be in the OHL the season in all likelihood.

Clarke will be back. He's not nearly consistent enough to stick in the NHL. And Johnston was a team worst -7 in the preseason with just 1 goal and only 4 shots in 4 games. If I had to bet, I think they're both back by Christmas

Hard road win to watch as far as discipline for the Colts. Thornton stood tall throughout; including the crazy OT. Both goalies put on a great show IMO. Next up the Soo.

so rumour has it cardwell is a healthy scratch tonight. Clarke staying has them thinking Lemieux is more important. let’s see if he actually is scratched…

Every D on that Canada team will play in the NHL. There will be more than 6 2002 and 2003 born D-men from Canada who will play in the NHL lol. Every year guys will get cut from that team and then go on to play in the NHL

Uh oh, I'm just now recalling from last year...... Barrie has a millions picks to spend, right? I initially balked at the calibre of the load up, but they could possibly do it. Assuming it hinges on Clarke's return?
