Don't understand the reffing tonight. However, it does not excuse the poor sloppy plays made all night, I think we did carry most of the play in the first and especially in the third but we should of won this game. Need cleaner breakouts and less fumbling of the puck.

Same page here.

Yeah, reffing was off (have seen far, far worse) but that was an overall poor team effort. Lots of coasting, fair number of guys with low effort.

At what point will the coaches do something to address the lack of ability to exit our zone? First couple of games I was fine with letting it slide because of all the personnel changes and getting to know each other. We're well beyond that point now. It looks like pee-wee zone exit time. All of these guys are so much better and more capable. It's gotta be an system their trying to implement that is unnatural for the players.

This will never change as long as Maurice is coach. We have struggled for years with poor zone exits and sloppy man to man zone coverage - Maurice has NEVER made an adjustment.

Seemed to me the team took the Sharks a bit lightly tonight. Not our best effort and it seemed some of our players weren't on the same page.

Still 5 of 6 on the road trip is fine. Time to get home and string some good play and wins together.

They did -
I thought we had turned the corner on some of the Dzone issues but they persist.
We struggle with that 1st pass - it's not systems - we have possession and then hand it back or have it taken away - it looks more like panic.

The officiating was not good - a few obvious calls were missed (too many men, high stick on PLD, tripping on Ehlers breakaway).
The refs were letting a lot of things go but you have to call the high sticking and too many men (and breakaway infractions).

We got Dallas and Chicago coming into town this weak, hope for a better effort against both teams and 4 points, the Central is going to be tight at the top this year

Yes and Chicago is 0- 7 and Dallas is 3-4 I believe so we should win both games, if the team puts out an effort. Although we won 5 of 6 points on the road ( very good) it was a "lucky" 5 points, and a Jets team that played with little intensity and emotion. They really should have lost that game to Anaheim as well, but got lucky. They better pull up their bootstraps, or their in for another long losing streak. Maurice just seems unable to motivate this team on a consistent basis.

I hope to see a way better effort on their homestand. With Scheifele coming back this will help a lot, but tonight it wouldn't have mattered, as the Jets were just outhustled.

Wheeler looked really good.

The D continues to be a mess.

Jets D stop shooting the puck so much!

Jets above 50% Corsi and 50% xGoals on the season. Seems like the first time that has happened in a while. They've had an easy schedule though so I don't expect it to last, they've played only 1 actual good team (the Wild), I feel they are in for a world of pain when the schedule toughens up a bit.

Not the outcome I wanted but 5 out of 6 points on the road trip works. Onward
The only thing I thought was that Morrissey intentionally threw the puck into the scrum. I'm not sure if that can be considered or not.

Ehlers and Morrissey were standout bad. Helle and PLD were very good. Connor was OK and the rest were just awful

Just a horrible game from the refs , Jets didn't play great but we get a PP goal on any of those missed calls and we win this game in regulation. I have no problem with 7 defenseman just as long as the 7th defenseman can actually skate and has a little bit of skill and that's not Booboo . Got a point, we are 4-2-2 with most of our games on the road to start the year and we haven't had our #1 center for all but 1 game , i think that's pretty good.

Strongly disagree. Top 10 centres play a 2-way, 200' game and Schiefele refuses to do that consistently. PLD is the real deal. I hope he gets a Team Cana invite and Schiefele doesn't
Dubois was horrible last season , he's had a great start to this season though and i hope it continues. I would like both Scheifele and Dubois to get invites to team Canada because that means the Jets are probably playing very well. Scheifele is a top 10 center in the NHL .

Yes we've won a couple of games but we've had by far the easiest schedule I've ever seen us have to start a season, are getting routinely outplayed by bottom feeders and just lost to a Sharks team icing basically an AHL squad. Certainly there are things to be excited about (Dubois, Connor, etc.) but overall this team has yet to outplay an opponent since the first 2 periods against the Ducks, and with Maurice at the helm I'm worried its just going to be more of what we've been seeing the past couple of years

We have a weak division is the only good take away I mean didn’t min just lose to the kraken? So we could easily stumble into the playoffs. The overall problems that have been there have been there before this season.
