I had to DVR the game. I just finished watching...

Jeez what a frustrating game to watch. That game was pathetic. It had all the signs of Pomo hockey. Playing lower to your competition, getting outshot, bad defensive play, playing booloo again!?! For what, 3 mins this time? can't beat the trap, pulling out the line blender...frankly a coach with no innovative or adaptive answers again. If not for the talent we have, we'd have been lit up. I'm glad we got a point, but we're close to 10 games now and there's still a lot of issues.

That being said, I've seen teams do amazing in the first 10 games of the season and miss the playoffs, and if Pomo's mantra of building up to something throughout the season works out, we'll be fine. Either way, there's still a lot to be excited for when watching this team. The talent alone is wonderful. Let's not forget it's a long season, and we're still in the top half of our division despite the trouble.

Yes we've won a couple of games but we've had by far the easiest schedule I've ever seen us have to start a season, are getting routinely outplayed by bottom feeders and just lost to a Sharks team icing basically an AHL squad. Certainly there are things to be excited about (Dubois, Connor, etc.) but overall this team has yet to outplay an opponent since the first 2 periods against the Ducks, and with Maurice at the helm I'm worried its just going to be more of what we've been seeing the past couple of years

I've seen a few people with this take of "wait until they play a real team", usually along side contradictory takes of "the team plays down to its competition".

They've got points in their last 6 games. I get the not playing well debate because they haven't looked awesome but the season isn't won or lost in the first 8 games or so.

They've outplayed opponents since the first Ducks game. I don't think they've played a full 60 minute effort, but even to use a recent example, they were better than LA in periods 1 and 3. Their 2nd period against Nashville they were the better team. I don't think outside of the recent win in Anaheim they've lucked out a win so I can't really agree they haven't outplayed anyone since the 1st game of the season.

Really frustrating game. Officiating was not good but Jets were much worse. Good game moving forward for Helle, though so that is encouraging.

Wheeler was non-impact but I was glad to see him. He may have lost a step or may be dealing with something, but I do believe he makes the team better.

Glad Nash was not in the line up. Probably a great guy but has had absolutely zero impact on the games he has played. I would much rather have Gus in that spot.

In the end it is nice to take 5 of 6 in Cali after a shaky start to the season. Onto the next game.

Coming out of lurking just to let you know I got a good laugh out of that.

This is a funny season to not be paying too much attention to hockey that's for sure.

I removed a post because I should have waited to chill out.
The effort was horrible for whatever reason.
How does a team not go full effort knowing the other teams line up is depleted.
Bizarre response from everyone

Maybe missing their best player is finally catching up with them.

Great to get a road point out of that one.

Maurice did not have the team ready to play.

Reffing was a disgrace, and I didnt see Maurice talk to the refs during the game to ask, hey boys wtf? Managing the refs (at least trying to) is a thing.

I am hoping that third line Wheeler becomes a thing. Not counting on it, but the team would be better if it is.

The lazy, blind pass OT turnover by Morrissey was the Jets effort in a nutshell.

Expecting a lot better next game.

We may have made positive moves to strengthen our D core, but we are clearly still lacking in our transition game. I like 44, but he is not an elite puck mover as suggested by PMs usage. Pionk is our top puck moving D then Schmidt

Id like to see that play again and try understand what Morrissey was thinking, but it was baffling. Holy f.

The only thing I thought was that Morrissey intentionally threw the puck into the scrum. I'm not sure if that can be considered or not.

Ehlers and Morrissey were standout bad. Helle and PLD were very good. Connor was OK and the rest were just awful

The team was off.

Typical NHL season with the ups and downs so far. I liked the Game vs the Wild the most (weird crazy bounces against both teams notwithstanding) for entertainment factor.

our team still appears uncomfortable with the current systems so we will remain hit and miss for a while.

Take the 5 points from Cali and get out of Dodge

I was extremely frustrated watching that game for exactly the reasons you mentioned.
It’s become clear to me that these problems will continue to plague the team as long as Maurice is the coach.
