“IF” he has created a poisonous locker room or divided it, which is pure speculation at this point, but at this stage there is some smoke to it, then it doesn’t matter how talented he is or how well he performs, it needs to be dealt with. I’m by no way a Wheeler ‘fanatic’ I realize he is overpaid, and not near what he was. Thats more on Chevy than it is him. His ice time is more on the coach than it is him. He still try's hard, and he still gets points.

We are stuck with his contract so we may as well get the most out of him and at least put him in a better position to use what talents he has left. He would be a great third liner who could move up and down the lineup as needed

Agreed. Despite Wheeler’s atrocious leadership and sub standard play, there are a handful on here clinging to their love of 26 from years ago. He can do no wrong in their eyes.

Also he leads the defencemen on the team with +38.

Ehlers last night, now Connor. Tell me you’re going to see a lot of changes this off-season without telling me. The organization has its work cut out that’s for sure. I think it’s clear we’re seeing a lead ship change in that room whether guys want it or not.

May as well add Dillon to that from his postgame last night. I think you can either take his comments as directed towards poor coaching or player execution. Either way he didn't really have anything positive to say about their game.

This Jets team needs to make some serious changes. A new coach, and totally new coaching staff, and some trades need to be made, that may involve some good players, in exchange for other good players, in areas where we're weak. Well, Calgary turned their team around with a new Coach and a couple players, and the Jets can as well. I hope so.
