Lotto luck sees the Coyotes walk off the draft stage with Bedard (1) and Michkov (6).
Absolutely agree on all points. Couldn't have said it betterA normal cash flush rebuilding team would have eaten the Petersen contract and whatever else LA wanted for some incredibly stupid HF sexy return. That's kind of frustrating. But I feel better about this front office than any other, and trust their drafting ability.
I’m hoping it’s directly correlated to them anticipating the arena deal getting approved. There will be a lot of money spent, if so.
You sure about that post telling Jakey to know what he's talking about?I highly doubt BA is done with that retention spot. Two days left.
If OTT ends up 16th and wins the lottery the trade gets deferred, lol. Not trying to be an ass here Jakey, but you should try to know what you're talking about before you open your mouth buddy
Second post. Gets deferred to next year, unprotected.

Guarantee the kings offered moreI bet Armstrong is kicking himself for not taking that rumored kings offer that was said to be “substantial”. Clear as day he overplayed his hand, kept asking for more, and got caught with his pants down.
Trust you to be the one calling the kettle blackYou sure about that post telling Jakey to know what he's talking about?

I would encourage everyone to try this out a few times drafting for both AZ and Ottawa in 1st round.
Dvorsky could be a steal at 11Quick look at hockeprospect.com rankings.
11 OA Dvorsky
12 OA Cristal
13 OA Barlow
It's more that pick 10 is historically worth 5x as much as pick 32. So the return is theoretically better than anything a serious contender was offering.
It's just not sexy the way a named prospect is, especially to HF and casual fans.
You can draft a Barzal level player and change the trajectory of your franchise. Nobody was offering that in trade.
Aren't the only lotted picks the top two now?So I guess we're hoping that Ottawa finishes just out of the playoffs and then wins the lottery to move up to 6...yeah!
It's top 5 protected. So if Ottawa ends up 16th and win the lottery they move up to sixth. Who knows where Ottawa will be picking, but if the season ended today I believe it is around 11th, so yes if they won the lottery we would pick next year. I think that's how the lottery works.I highly doubt BA is done with that retention spot. Two days left.

Things must’ve changed. We’ll pay Zack Kassian for two years but won’t maximize value on our most valuable trade chip
They. Don’t. Have. Any. Money.Guarantee the kings offered more
Zona played themselves
I do as well, but I wanted another first or a hell of a prospect.I like the OTT 1st more than two BOS 1sts.
