No one has any idea exactly who they are targeting for a top 4 D-man. The info we have is Colton, Nuke, and Drury will be gone and the front office is going to try to use the cap space and assets from trading said players to get a top 4 D-man.

L'Heureux has legit skill on both ends of the ice. If he can keep his head in check I think we have a player there... his mental stability is indeed comparable to Downie's though, and that's hard to accept for any coach - not just Bednar.

Zlh really didn’t have many of those incidents in Nashville. Maybe 1? He seems to have matured and is more likely to draw penalty as agitator than take one as idiot. Likeable player, but not sure how much offensive upside is there.

Moving nuke. Yes, I think he has value at 3.5-4M because I believe his defensive acumen surpasses his offensive abilities. I’d like to see both players acquired succeed and I like ZLH’s game but have massive concerns about Bednar’s ability to accept his style of play.

I’d like to see the team acquire Wotherspoon, but the assets aren’t there. I would’ve preferred to move Nuke for anything, re-sign kulak and drury. Give Hughes and brindly honest shots at the roster, re-acquire helleson and find a solid 5 d man that can pk and eat 15 minutes a night.

The writing may have been on the wall for Drury but it still sucks. He's a guy who actually played hard and showed up in the playoffs. A couple punk *****es who remain on the team could've taken a cue from him.

Also Joe might want to consider trading with someone other than Nashville. There is no requirement to only trade with our former GM.

Nuke needs to be moved as it is so we can ice a defense that doesn’t feature 2 near league minimum guys at LD right now. We currently have ~3.5 mil in cap space right now to sign 2LD and fill out the rest of the roster. Even if you move Nuke and keep Drury your looking at not much more cap space to add said defenders.

So many guys, specifically depth guys, looked completely gassed against Vegas. Adding youth around the edges (these two, plus the internal guys) is going to make a difference.
