Might be the best team performance of the year.

When Callahan scored that first goal, all I could think was - man, I hope that's not the last goal I see him score in blue. Sure enough, bam, one more. He had a great game. Bittersweet performance. Love AV and the boys letting him play almost the entire last 5 min. Seeing him come out for the first star was special. Got a little dusty in my apartment.

Henrik was unbelievable on the 5-on-3. I mean great all game. But that 5-on-3 was unreal.

A great use of statistical hockey analysis is to find underrated players, like Colorado's Ryan O'Reilly. While a certain portion of his undeniable talent can obviously be picked up by simply watching him play, the full extent of his highly-disciplined defensive talent and possession-driving playmaking abilities can be more fully grasped when studying the underlying numbers.

I don't think any one doubts O'Reilly as a defensive player. I just personally don't think he is on Bergerons level yet.

Looks like O'Reilly's been reading all the HFNYR chatter - he wants to come here! Maybe Yakupov does too!

Fun facts. O'Reilly and Zuke where team mates in Russia, so was his younger brother Cal O'Reilly. All three of them celebrated Christmas together.

By the way, I will never... ever... complain about only getting a couple of hours of sleep against. Holy cow Marc.

It takes 3 to make the line complete. Not Poo's best game but that line plays responsible hockey and make things happen.

The line overall played well, but I remember several times seeing Zucc and Brass make a play, and Pouliot just killing it.

But, I'm not a Pouliot fan, so maybe what I saw is because I really don't like him.

Perhaps if he wasnt earning such an outrageous amount of money, he wouldnt get so much hate. Zuccs Hags and Stralman combined make less money than Richards, and they all had better games than him.

Not saying its necceserily fair, but thats my opinion why all the hate. Probably a bit of my own too

That was true, INITIALLY, but a $6.6M cap hit isn't significant money in 2014. Nash is making $7.8M. Lundqvist will be making $8.5M.

If you look at what players were being signed at last off season, $6.6M is more than fair for Richards. The only thing that sucks with his contract is his term (way too long).

The cap hit shouldn't be bothering people anymore.

But that is not on Richards. It was Sather who trow the money after him.

Why is Richards getting no love? He made an incredible play for Callahan to score his 2nd goal, and just put the nail in the coffin at the end of the game. I thought he was noticeable all game.

agree, he played a solid game. a few bad passes here and there, but we were already up 4-1... you tend to coast when you hold that kind of lead that we held against them

Hank's got 5 more wins to go to beat Richter's franchise record.

#Rangers are 16-0-0 when scoring at least four goals.

If you told me there would be 16 games where we scored 4+ goals before this season I'd have laughed at you.

No more cave man hockey from Torts. This team is constantly attacking. And I like torts and his passion but today's NHL requires a different game
