The long term effects of head trauma is a bigger deal now than it was then.

Scott Stevens was celebrated but would be considered Tom Wilson level today. Messier too if we're being honest.

They would probably just give short suspension, a small fine , and basically do nothing about it as they do now

The only change by the NHL is they now talk out of both sides of their face.

I mean, who would ever want to wear a jersey of the best goaltender the franchise has ever seen, a top 5 player in team history that's almost 100 years old, and a future hall of famer, not to mention the jersey of a guy who's literal jersey will be hanging inside the rafters at MSG for eternity.

I mean the guy is done after next season so why ever purchase or wear his jersey inside the walls of MSG every again?

calm down it was a light hearted post you don’t have to be on 10 all the time when patrolling for Lundqvist posts

Lindgren having a hearing for hit to the head. Anyone see if there was a call up yet? Wonder will they give Rykov a shot or just call up a forward and play Smith on d

How long until we can put to bed the 'Georgiev proved himself in the NHL and Igor didn't' comments. Georgiev has been biploar as a goalie over the past 2 years. We can chalk some of that up to the garbage Rangers D, but it's not all on them.

So Ellis gets nothing for a flagrant elbow to Buch's head, and Lindgren will be suspended for what was almost clearly a clean hit. Makes sense.
it’s obvious they care significantly more about injuries than the action itself which is ridiculous.

NHL Department of Hypocrites! Actually, instead of hypocrites, more like double, triple, quadruple standards.
