Was very happy to see the Rangers as a group we’re able to skate with the Aves. Especially the baby line.

On a side note - was very impressed with Graves. Our offense for the Zibanejad’s line was going mostly through the left side because Graves was a wall out there. I definitely disagree with Milbury’s (?) take on Buchnevich being not engaged but Graves was in his face and very effective against all night long. Good for him!

Lindgren can fight fine. He's had several scraps since turning pro. He just needs to learn that even if he throws what he feels is s clean hit, someone will be coming for him.

Kadri played it old school, pre-instigator--gave him a cross-check to the lower back to let him know he was ready but then started up the windmill before Lindgren could even get his gloves off.

Eh, Lindgren answers the bell if he’s asked to dance given his play style but I don’t think he’s a good fighter. IMHO he’s below average and way below ADA if we were to compare.

speaking of russians i would think Rykov is coming up if Lindgren misses any games, no?
I can't believe they stood and watched him absorb that licking from Kadri....what is wrong with our chickens on the ice ? Who was out there and watched that happen ? I hope Quinn had a chat with the team about that . Would have been worth a 2 minute call as 3rd man in and game misconduct . YOU CAN'T let that stuff happen !!!

watching to torch passed to Igor in real time is a surreal moment as a fan of this team. my memories of hockey prior to 2006 are very limited so my significant Ranger memories are practically all involving Lundy.

locking up TDA must be a priority. the best offensive D the Rangers have had since Yandle who is on pace to basically match Yandle's career high.

Kreider "really looking to add some numbers" according to Milbury for 15 games now lol. keep up that value!

I've seen some comments about Fox hitting a rookie wall but I honestly couldn't' disagree more. he might not look as hilariously calm and controlled as before but his puck movement and defensive play are as rock solid as ever. also on pace for 40 points.

People that don't love Fast confuse me. One of the best defensive forwards in the NHL and produces at a 3rd line rate. Understand that he'll likely price himself out but I would love to keep him.

hope next game Lindgren takes Kadri's head off. he's had it coming for a really long time.

this is ridiculous. lose a player for half of the game for what? to fight lindgren's fight for him?

Just came to say -- maybe lost in the Igor hype -- that the Rangers might have played two good games in a row for the first time in... what... 18 months?

It's really great to see the lines settling in, players finding roles, and the team as a whole being more committed to keeping the puck up-ice and checking hard through 60 minutes. Obviously the Avs are a much better team, and they came hard at the end, but that's less about us not playing well and more about the reality of a 1 goal lead with 5 defensemen against Nathan MacKinnon.

Kakko and Chytil are quite a pair.

Your opinion is duly noted and considered as equally ridiculous ! Makes more sense to lose a dman for months with a possible concussion or broken orbital bone .....good teams back each other up and if you ever played on a hockey team in a game where checking and fighting were allowed[which I highly doubt you have] you would know this and likely would have been involved in these type of incidents and had your ass saved from being pummeled with 20 right hands in a row ...after about the 4th one....would have been the time . You have to remember...hockey is a team game and you have to have the other's back....until you do...you won't win in the end and the team you are playing knows this .

Yeah I'm with you, not sure he's a great scrapper, party due to playing NCAA where you can't fight. My comment is just more to do with those that think he got destroyed by Kadri because he literally doesn't know how to fight. Kadri did him like guys would do each other back when retaliatory fighting happened every game, without an instigator, where guys would pummel you before you really could even get set. Lindgren didn't have a chance; of he could square off with Kadri on level ground I think he'd do just fine.

Kakko had another strong game, looked really good cycling in the offensive zone. Him and Chytil are a very good duo. I'd like to see someone else besides Howden on the LW bc I feel like hes' a weak link there offensively, but it's okay for now. I think Kakko may have turned the corner.

You cannot be the third man in. No problem with what Lindgren did and his hit, no problem with Kadri's response. The latter got the jump on the former and never let up. Lindgren will learn how to tie up and hold off until he can get himself ready.

One thing you have to say about this team (and last year's too) is they are resilient. It would have been very easy to get down and get down on themselves and chalk it up to a first time starter and the Advs being a much better team. But they didn't. They cashed in a power play and never let up. I thought they started the third period by sitting back a bit, but they quickly righted that and evened the play. A good win against a good team.

One of the issues that I have when people wanted to pound a square peg into a round hole and demanding that Kakko plays on the top line is that generally in those situations, the kids will always defer and overpass the puck to the vets. When their linemates are kids themselves, there is no one to defer to and instead of overpassing, the shots start going on goal.

Maybe there are things the coach is doing well!

In general, regarding the PP, STOP OVERPASSING THE DAMN PUCK!! So many pretty passes. So few shots on goal.

And can they (am looking at Strome here) curling out away from the net. Just stay inside and get the friggin' puck on net!

I try on the top line for one reason: it serves as a carrot for both Kakko and Buchnevich.
