Got up all pumped today in a good mood feeling super generous told the wife I was buying her a White SHESTERKIN jersey since I’ve got my White CHYTIL on the way and what does she say? No thanks I want a Lundqvist one. I proceed to give all the reasons I give here for why he’s about done...

wife: yeah but I feel bad nobody wants him to play so please I’d like a Lundqvist jersey. So Now I’m purchasing a Lundqvist jersey in 2020. Christ.

He was almost ready to get involved but he had a huge Av player in front of him...that was the only reason he stayed out . Any Caps , Bruins and a few other clubs would have got involved . Anyways...I know I am old school on this stuff and in the minority on a hockey discussion forum .

It did look like a high hit and that he left his feet . The NHL should look at more like these . No worse though then the Ellis chicken wing on our guy . Ovie hits like that all the time and gets away with it .

I just dislike when the guy getting hit puts himself in the awkward position which leads to that hit. I don't think Lindgren did anything malicious.

It's like in college football when someone is going to hit the QB and he slides late and now you've hit him in the head and it's targeting and youre tossed. It shouldn't work like that.

I would put Kravstov at LW if we ever call him up. Could be our second line as soon as next year. Hopefully Kakko and Chytil's good play starts showing up on stat sheet soon.

Avs fan here. It was our worst loss of the season IMO. Generally when they lose they at least are skating. Your team looked good. I hate you guys for landing Panarin. Not hard to see why Sakic chases him so hard. Kreider is a need for us so if you’d just loan him to us we’ll do ya a solid.

Also congrats on the kid goaler. He outplayed the shit out of our loser in net.

There are worse things than buying the jersey of a player who's going to have his number retired. You can wear those forever. I always see tons of Leetch, Richter and Messier jerseys.

One of the more minute lessons of this game is that Ryan Graves only looked like a net-positive this year because Makar was doing his thing for the first few months of the season. He is ideally an extra body on a competing team, and he did not handle the Rangers well at all last night.

I'm reminded of when that ugly ****er Phaneuf mugged Sauer and Phaneuf was cheered for what he did. I guess when Rangers get hit like that it's different for this league.

The long term effects of head trauma is a bigger deal now than it was then.

Scott Stevens was celebrated but would be considered Tom Wilson level today. Messier too if we're being honest.

I mean, who would ever want to wear a jersey of the best goaltender the franchise has ever seen, a top 5 player in team history that's almost 100 years old, and a future hall of famer, not to mention the jersey of a guy who's literal jersey will be hanging inside the rafters at MSG for eternity.

I mean the guy is done after next season so why ever purchase or wear his jersey inside the walls of MSG every again?

The fact that Shesty comes in, knowing the 'Hank situation' to the Garden, against a team of great offensive talents and gets the W, I said it before the game, HUGE. Not only for his confidence moving forward, but for the youngins, they've got another possible core kid in the mix and that's a huge positive for all these kids whom need to continue blossoming. Monstrous stuff going on here.
 
For a team that currently employs Zadorov who hits like Lindgren did last night all the time, how is what Lindgren did any different? It's honestly hilarious

One thing you have to say about this team (and last year's too) is they are resilient. It would have been very easy to get down and get down on themselves and chalk it up to a first time starter and the Advs being a much better team. But they didn't. They cashed in a power play and never let up. I thought they started the third period by sitting back a bit, but they quickly righted that and evened the play. A good win against a good team.

Or Zibs has been hurt less this year and they added Panarin who is having a career year
