Colton is super scrappy but man he looks like a bad skater every game.

3-0-0 to start October on the road with a roster building it's chemistry.

Not gonna nitpick anything at this point, just an awesome start to the season!

I see why people do, but we have to remember.. Ryjo is a 50 to 60 point playmaker who slows things down, plays a skill game. Drouin is a 40 to 50 samsies lol.

Use them right, accept their flaws and I think they'll be fine in their roles. Neither of them, or Bednar has figured out how to do that in this system.

Definitely going to be some growing pains. I see it with Colton too.

You're welcome to come at me late December or January if I'm wrong lol.

Keep in mind two teams tried to “accept his flaws” and couldn’t do it. The second team literally took NOTHING in return for a trade to a division rival and retained half his salary to facilitate it.

I want to be optimistic but I really, really hate floaters like him. I don’t think it’s so much the Avs adjusting to his “style” as him just deciding to actually put some consistent effort in.

Overall, outside of that horrendous first period I liked the effort. Finally got a good game from Nuke. Finally got production from someone outside the Big Three.

As mentioned before I am no fan of Johansen thus far, also not sure exactly what Drouin is doing out there. Colton had some WTF moments but I like that guy’s game.

I’m afraid of jinxing it but man I love the PK thus far.

Chemistry is still not yet there.... But as i said before, i´ll give the new guys some time and games into get it done and going.. Season is still young...If this keeps going into November we can put out the forks on some players.

We are 3-0 so far with starting the season a week on the road. We cant ask for more. Tomorrow home-opener against Chicago and Bedard....

Saturday the first and real test of the season when Carolina is in town.

Just home from work, and reading this thread before watching the game, one would almost think we lost the game, not won 4-1. I'm loving the results given we are still building chemistry and combinations.

3 games in, only 4 goals against in total (11 goals for) - average of almost 4-1.

Give them TIME guys, things will only improve and get better

Fell asleep like midway through the 1st. Just finished watching the condensed game on NHL.com. Solid W, team looks like it's still not on the same page IMO. Nuke looks like he maybe got a little "boost" if you will. MacK 2-game pointless streak likely on the downswing of his career or likely fulfilling his prophecy as a bust. George looks phenomenal to start.

Chemistry is obviously still an issue, but that was to be expected. On the other hand, George looks fantastic and when they have the lead after 2, they lock things down. Keep this up and good things will happen

As nice as it was to win a game against the no talent try hards, it’s getting a bit concerning that there seems to be a lack of cohesion in large chunks of the Avs lineup.

It's only a matter of time until Bednar puts together another one of his "doghouse" lines and we see Drouin-RyJo-Tatar playing ~10 minutes of even strength together.

Which would then make Miles Wood a defacto 2nd line player with Colton and Nuke. Yikes.

Then the 4th line will get 3rd line minutes because they actually know their role and perform it well.

Also, Devon Toews will still play 30 minutes a night for no real reason
