RIAL going to be doing lines with Mickey and Goofey tonight.
Well no we literally couldn't fit him without it lolThat retention is pretty telling… more to come![]()
I like that we have him this year but he's older than Kadri was when we let him walk.
What kind of contract is he looking for?
Statistically he has 2 maybe 3 good years left in the tank, if he wants 5-6 year term and paid like a 35 goal guy we gotta let him walk.
People value futures too damn high. I'd prefer the Avs go for it and have zero futures than hold onto them and not try.Haha this f***ing site is hilarious.
We've apparently been wasting years of Mack and Mak primes.
But also fawning over some prospect who may or may not have panned out.
Do you want to win it now or not? Ritchie doesn't help us at all right now.
CMac has massive cajones this year. Let's go.
I'm not the guy to ask that too. Ask either @forsbergavs32 or @Richard88 . They're the roster guys.
Do you just not realize this isn’t the main boards you’re posting in…Islanders won this trade already. Relieved as a Jets fan because I didn't want us to trade for Nelson.
I am predicting Brock Nelson is going to be the biggest disappointment amongst trades go at the deadline.
I'd be a lot more upset if we lost Gulyayev. Think that dude is the truth. Cal is going to be meh.Ugh I hate losing Cal in this.
Agreed on this, but we need a another RD over a depth forward I believe.I like Cal Ritchie. I think he's going to have a long career in the NHL if he stays healthy in a middle-six role with a lot of his years likely playing in a 2nd line role.
That said, he
1) Never had the foot speed/overall skating the Avs require under Bednar which always made the pick interesting, and
2) was our best trade chip by far
If Nelson walks, obviously it stings but if it results in a cup, it is so worth it.
One more depth forward, please, and let's go to war.
Vegas has been good example of how to do this. You can hate them as much as you ever want, but the fact is they have been successful doing this. They "always" trade the first rounders away and concentrates on the current season and worry about the future later. They don't necessarily win that many cups, but they are almost without exception serious contenders.People value futures too damn high. I'd prefer the Avs go for it and have zero futures than hold onto them and not try.
Keep him. I still think Mitts has upside and has struggled this year. I think this makes his life a LOT easier.Do we want to trade Mitts now or we keep him at 3C?
If we trade him we have no middle 6 center for next year unless we keep Nelson. Now that Ritchie is gone we have no one possibly coming up either.
Lol, he looked fine in the 4 nations.Holy shit, what an awful trade.
We gave up more than Pittsburgh did for Marian Hossa, just to get a way inferior player. Nelson is above-average, but he looked f***ing awful in the Four Nations and IMHO doesn't tilt our team to a contender. And we gave up our future 2nd line centre in return with a ton of RFA years on top of that.
I immensely dislike this all around.
lol, why are you constantly harping on how he looked in the 4Nations??Holy shit, what an awful trade.

You do understand that there's a thing called "UFA market", right?Do we want to trade Mitts now or we keep him at 3C?

I’d keep him. The more C depth the better. But the market has been good for sellers… so maybe depends on what you can get.Do we want to trade Mitts now or we keep him at 3C?
