Interested to see what happens with Mitts.

Maybe they move him tomorrow. Maybe they move him at the draft and re-sign Nelson.

If we were going to get Nelson it was always going to cost Ritchie + 1st. I'm not as bent out of shape about losing Ritchie to fill and obvious hole, even if it's in the short term. If Nelson walks, we go into next season with the same C depth we thought we were about to enter the playoffs with.

I thought the Ritchie pick should have been traded before we used it, and I'm not as high on him as some I don't think.

Avs fans: "We need to be all-in. Have to get a 2C at any cost."

CMac lands literally the #1 center on the market without giving up anything from the pro roster.

Also Avs fans: "That's too much! WTF overpayment!"
This but unironically

Story of these boards.

The AVS still have plenty of pieces to recoup assets.

Colton, Mitts and Manson can all recoup lots of assets in the offseason.

I like that we have him this year but he's older than Kadri was when we let him walk.

What kind of contract is he looking for?

Statistically he has 2 maybe 3 good years left in the tank, if he wants 5-6 year term and paid like a 35 goal guy we gotta let him walk.
