I don’t buy the whole system thing being the issue why Nelson can’t produce. He’s a veteran player, and in the end, there are differences and similarities to how every team plays. He just needs to go out there and be himself. He’s the center of a line, just like he was a center of his line in NY.

He was only a C in the 1st period tonight, a period the Avs total dominated. Then for some dumb reason to start the 2nd, Bednar moves him to LW with Mack and Nuke, and shuffles all the lines, and they weren't near as good the rest of the game.

My thing with Nelson right now is he was alway a shoot 1st player, but seems to look to pass every time the puck is on his stick. Even his great look had him trying to pass at 1st. Just needs to drive the net and shoot.

It wasn't even the 1st entirely. Bednar made the switch after the Avs had a 9-2 edge in SOG for some idiotic reason.

Nothing drives me more insane about Bednar than his stubbornness. When he gets something in his mind, that's it, there is ZERO chance he's going to think differently.

He probably thinks Nelson can't play center and that he is a permanent winger now.
