I'm still not understanding why Bednar felt he needed to jumble the lines. They were playing well in the 1st and getting shots on goal.

Toews was good, EJ was good, Malinski was good, G was good, Didnt notice Lindgren. Nuke was fine. Everyone else was trash. BTW, LOC. Talk about falling off a cliff. This guy has done nothing for 30 games.

I don't blame this at all on Blackwood, he could have made that save. But 1 goal on 38 shots. Hit the f***ing twine.

The shots were all good looks for Woll, the Avs made him look good. You have to generate more traffic in front and earn some greasy goals.

I've watched a fair bit of the Islanders (GF is from NY) and he does do all those things. But it feels like he's completely shell-shocked being here. I am all for giving him the leash to get better but we need better soon.

I understand your point but he absolutely wins faceoffs. Gave us the faceoff win in overtime last game, and gave us the only chance with the goalie pulled here. He was also over 50% tonight.

He cant be surprised by that. Puck was in the neutral zone not at the hashmarks he had plenty of time to react to that dumb ass ref. If THAT surprised him we are f***ed in 30 days.

Can’t blame Bednar. He needs to get Nelson going somehow before the playoffs or else we aren’t winning in the playoffs without a 2C. This issue is just never ending since Kadri left. It’s getting tiresome

Looked like he lost that last draw with 7.5 seconds left. I only ever notice him losing draws. Oddly enough I seen Mackinnon win a bunch of draws lately. Brock sucks just sucks less at the dots compared to everything else.

We will see if Bednar admits it or not but I think more than a fair bit of the team is sick right now.

Blackwood was fine and call me nitpicky if you must but he can’t give up that goal.

Also, Avs put a lot of shots on net but failed to generate any real traffic in front of the net and failed miserably to get to rebounds. They’ve done that way too much this season—made a goalie look better than he actually is. To be fair he WAS really good but the Avs also didn’t challenge him nearly enough.

MacKinnon, Makar, and Lehkonen were way, way off tonight.

Still waiting for Nelson to show what makes him so good. Didn’t win puck battles, didn’t make any plays, had, like, one clean shot on goal.

He did lose the last one, but won the one just before that. MacK has been better lately, but I doubt he wants to take them in the situation. I'm sure he wants the Puck on his stick.
