Yeah, I mean, it's clear we're talking about the same basic concept, and that's cool that you recognize the similarity too. I guess this is why I focus so much on the impact of variance in sports, because that's the thing in my field that's far easier to measure :) and anything you can measure and separate makes it easier to focus on what you can do as a competitor.

The #1 way to tell a good poker player from a bad one? The bad poker player will get absolutely livid if they get unlucky, the good player will laugh it off; and with the scenario reversed, the bad player will shrug off getting outplayed, the good player will beat themselves up for an hour solid after :P

Chevy has been surprisingly good in monster pots :) The man who won us trades for Trouba and Kane and Laine, I trust implicitly when he's chunking it in.
This is the kind of conversation that keeps me coming back to the forum. Thank you!

Winnipegers ain't gonna pay to watch a rebuild. Bottom line. A rebuild or a complete blowup like some of you suggest Will NEVER happen.
Too soon to say as we don't know the intentions of 3 key players, but if at least 2 of 3 don't re-sign, it will be a rebuild whether you like it or not. The picks/prospects the Jets get back will almost certainly not be as good as those players.

If Winnipeg can't support some kind of rebuild to some degree, then we shouldn't have a team.

Likewise! I mean, the sky can only fall for so long. And it's fascinating to hear more about our commonalities and ways we can relate to each other. Like I always say, a clubhouse first and foremost :)

Sawyer pulling out all the stops tonight to try and be positive.

We're at the point where Sawyer is finding positives in shifts where the Jets were pinned in their own zone the entire time.

Sawyer as over the top as he can be is still positive…nobody likes chronic negativity.
