It's Thursday, so here are some questions:

1) Do you dream, if so, do you have any recurring dreams? Any dreams that have come true or that were so real that you felt it happened?

2) Most of us have had pets, which one was the most unique? I know they are all special but is there one that was amazingly smart, funny or loyal in a different way to others? Favourite memory of them, a picture you can share?

3) Are you an early bird or a night owl? Have you always been that way?

4) If someone was visiting your area for a short time, what local attractions would you suggest?

5) What are your favourite comfort foods?
1) I dream constantly and have nightmare toilet dreams, awful how my brain finds different scenarios every time! I used to be able to lucid dream, which was fun, but not in years.

2) We had lots of Norwegian Elkhounds over the years, one that was especially sweet. He tried to be fierce but was all bluster.

3) Early bird, always have been since I was a child. It seems to run in the family.

4) We are a couple of hours from the Niagara area, always recommend Niagara-on-the-Lake and the White Water Walk in Niagara Falls.

5) Shepherd's Pie

1. Constantly.... don't remember most but sometimes wake up exhausted. Had one about Gerard Butler that was REALLY nice (nudge nudge say no more!!)

2. Mama Kira..older dog that I house sat with my early days in Michigan. She ate my breakfast oatmeal with me and I can still see her sweet face looking my way when I would come into the living room first thing in the morning. Sorry, have to go cry now...miss her much.

3. Night owl to this day... working 3rd shift was perfect for me. Rarely up before noon.

4. Mackinaw Bridge, upper Michigan, waterfalls

5. Chicken pot pie - the one at Lucky's at the Fallsview Casino is heaven.....or coffee ice cream or gelato.

1. Yes, I dream. I have a recurring dream about my Grandmother's house and while I am having it I know it is a dream.

2. My Maine Coon Frodo Baggins was a special cat. He had 7 toes on each front foot (most cats have 4). He wasn't afraid of anyone. Frodo had a big personality. This is him when he was a kitten ...notice the feet.. He had heart disease and died at 10. It killed me.

3. Early...always

4. The White Mountains, Boston...the beach.

5. Pasta

Yep. You do what's right, pay thousands of dollars for insurance over the years, clean driving record.... then some jerk hits you and because he didn't do what he's supposed to, you take the hit. Not right at all.

And no incentive for the jerk to change their behavior. "Oh we'll take your license." "Okay then I'll just drive without one."
There needs to be bigger consequences for this.

1. Yes I dream. I used have recurring dreams about not being able to find or do something (that part was never clear) but I haven't had one in quite awhile.

2. Marmalade. He was my handsome boy (big ginger cat for those who don't know about him) and I miss him a lot.

3. Early bird all the way

4. The casinos, Mystic Seaport

5. Oreo or Chips Ahoy cookies, chocolate cake, ice cream

RIP

Maggie Smith, the two-time Oscar-winning actor best known for playing the stern Professor McGonagall in the "Harry Potter" movie franchise and the tart-tongued Dowager Countess on "Downton Abbey," died Friday, her publicist and children confirmed.

She was 89.

Smith's sons, Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens, paid tribute to their mother in a joint statement. "It is with great sadness we have to announce the death of Dame Maggie Smith. She passed away peacefully in hospital early this morning," they wrote.

"She was with friends and family at the end. She leaves two sons and five loving grandchildren who are devastated by the loss of their extraordinary mother and grandmother," Larkin and Stephens wrote. They did not immediately specify a cause of death.

dogs are the smartest, at 4 am yesterday morning my pooch woke me up , I thought she simply needed to relieve herself so I took her out and she did little more than sniff

I read the newspaper later that morning, turns out the island experienced an earthquake , I have to assume this was why she woke us up

Praying for Valdosta, GA. If you're the praying type, please send one up for them.

As far as family, my aunt and uncle are in Greenville, SC and they seem to be ok. Minor tree damage and rain but so far nothing as bad as Asheville, NC which is 2 hours north of them. My aunties in Charleston, SC seem to be ok so that's great news. Waiting to hear from my mom's cousins, one in Roanoke and one near Tampa.

She was a great actor. I loved her in Harry Potter. Raise your wands for Dame Maggie Smith.

That evacuation must be chaos

Those poor people

The rapid intensification of hurricanes is going to keep happening because the oceans have warmed so much. Climate change is real, whether people want to believe it or not. I feel so bad for people who are in the paths of these monstrous storms.

In SW Ontario, we are now the tornado alley of Canada.
