However, he's very good but I don't like him in just a "sniper" role. He has really good playmaking abilities, too.

Solid defensive start for Austria. This is how it went against the US, but once the damn burst it got ugly. We’ll see if they can survive a bit better today.

I normally agree with you Statsy but i don't see anything good from Austria other than some high end goaltending from Wraneschitz and some puck luck .. They are getting beat physically, getting beat one on one all over the ice...not getting the puck up ice quickly... some of their players are playing pro hockey...they should be better than this.

Maybe you’re right... though I count the goalie as being on the defensive end of things!

Austria has a really good goalie...they just have to give him a chance to shine. If Wraneschitz gets peppered with 20 shots per period while getting zero rest because there's always action around his net, he'll tire out eventually.

Because Wraneschitz had zero support. He tired out. They need to give him the odd rest during games. If you're down all the time, it's hard.
