I mean when the guy scores 4 goals in his first ever NHL game, it feels like this should have been obvious. But its nice seeing things come to fruition.

Imagine getting a goal in your first ever NHL game and not even feeling the need to cheer since you have already gotten 3.

Not to mention one of the goals he deked 2 players in the neutral zone, momentarily lost the puck and then immediately stripped it from the best defenseman in the league at the time and then scored. He was one of the best players in the NHL right off the bat and we still have a hoard of dummies denying he's top 10 :biglaugh:

I just want to enjoy and celebrate the team and players I like and follow without being mocked and laughed at for it, from all angles.

While last night was a bit of a stat padding game, he's only been held scoreless once, coincidentally against Ottawa. His game-to-game consistency is really what's taken him to the next level.
Well tbf, most superstars do statpad against bad teams, mcdavid has like 8 points against ottawa, last year Matthews wouldn’t have these type of games so it’d hold his point totals back, and people would use that to say “he can’t score 100+“ when in reality he just scored when we needed him to, I don’t think he had more then 3 points against Detroit last year.

I always think it's strange when folks mention this like its a negative.

Of course a superstar is going to put up big points against terrible teams. Its literally the case for every one.

I mean, I don't necessarily think he's better, but to be fair, Draisaitl is much better now than he was through the beginning of his career.
For sure he is, but not better than Matthews.

I am not trying to say he is a bad hockey player, because he is a very good hockey player.
