Laine will score 70 goals.

...Over two seasons.

...And 55 on those goals will come in 60 games.

Im usually critical of him every year because he's my favourite Leaf, but i have no complaints this year. I feel like he could shoot even more than he already does. Still has a ridiculous amount of shots for someone you can clearly see trying not to shoot as much.

Matthews has become a 2 way goal scoring phenom. He’s not mcdavid but he’s our guy. Him marner nylander and jt are our guys. Like in 2014 would you imagine we’d have this team I’m so jacked every night

Man, thats probably the best game Ive ever seen him play, engaged throughout the game, making defensive plays, breaking cycles and hitting.

I always said this if somehow Matthews figured out physicality and defensive game he could easily be the best player in the league... Like I'm talking Selke and Rocket loll, I wonder if it's ever been done before

Took the offseason seriously, he's noticeably quicker and his stride seems more powerful.

This just occurred to me. Matthews is already at 10 goals through 11 games played, after not scoring a goal in the Leafs first two games and missing one game because of an injury.

A lot of people doubted 40 goals was possible. But at this rate 30 goals in the next 44 games is very do able for him barring injury. Hopefully he gets it and more.
