They kept 2 guys and changed the core.
So maybe we move Marner for a Quinn Hughes and now you have Matthews/Hughes.
Decide on a goalie to platoon with Woll and now you’ve set that.
Move a Nylander for a skilled player that has more size and can forecheck. Grab some extra draft picks and keep adding. Give the young guys like Knies and Lily more responsibility.

It starts with upton at the management level. If they demand accountability, then players themselves will demand accountability in the locker room.

If Treliving is forcing the issue then it will show up in the locker room and then we can thin the herd. The problem is that dubas has screwed us so bad that we don't even get a year to examine and make that decision.

Didn't that include prospects as well? Players who were not on the team but in the system. If so, that allowed Vegas to choose better current players because teams wanted to protect their prospects - and that's why Vegas ended up with a bunch of pretty good 2nd liners.

you know that money isn't being printed lol...a lot of that is used equipment that we needed to replace and bonds from citizens

Interest rates won't go nuclear or they risk stagflation. There's a lot of price gouging happening in the chain right now but that's what happens when we allow corporations to raw dog us without repercussions

Matthews 2 Priorities:

1) What his Signing Bonus looks like on July 1st

2) Who's feeding him pucks so he can get his cookies.

This is what frustrates me so much. An upstart team can figure it out but not us. We have just wasted 5 years on Dubas and his failed team build. Now the new guys has his hands tied by all these no trade soon expiring contract for players who have not been held accountable for their crappy playoff performance.
Oh ya add in almost no picks in the draft almost no prospects and very very suspect goaltending.
it blows my mind that people still think that Dubas was this great genius GM

I mentioned weeks ago that Bettman wants certain teams to win, Vegas for 1, because of US tv market. Since 1993 when he took over not one Canadian team has won.
Now Vegas is saying that Wes McCauley is fixing games...only 1 penalty called in last game.
Ridiculous. I never buy into letting them play in the finals, it benefits less skilled players.
The NHL is fixed. Next year Rangers win for TV, then Seattle wins.

Has anyone heard what Matthews has asked for, in his new contract? Does he hit 13M? Should he be paid more than McJesus or Mackinnon?

There is speculation but no one knows for sure.
‘Should he be paid more ‘ probably not but he will be, it’s how it works.
