Once again - no substance at all. These era discussions with you specifically are like talking to a brick wall. You love to make claims, but can't actually defend any counterpoint thrown against you.

Your arguments logic would lead you to confirm that Bossy is significantly better than Matthews. It would lead you to confirm that Ovechkin and Crosby actually became better hockey players in their mid-30's than they were late 20's.

See ya later.

Bossy may very well be better than matthews, have you ever seen someone score 50 goals a season for their entire career?

Matthews has 10 goals in his last 10 games playing with Bertuzzi and Domi. I really do not understand this need to tear one player down to prop up another. You are allowed to appreciate what Matthews is doing without it somehow being disrespectful to Ovi lol

He’s doing something Ovie didn’t do, hfboards collective brains are imploding and the calculators are coming out in full force

remember when people were saying he only scored so many goals because he was in a weak Canadian Division during COVID.

I remember when they were saying he had ‘regressed to the mean’ in his injured season last year hahhahahaha

HFboards don’t know anything about hockey

Ovechkin is going to get the goal scoring record to turn around and lose it in 10 years.

While this is very premature he’s definitely putting himself in position to make it a legit possibility. Its gonna be super interesting to see how he ages. He scores in so many ways and his game is power and smarts more than it is speed so the potential to be productive deep into his 30s is certainly there imo

People comparing his pursuit of 70 goals to 100 assists:

MacKinnon in third place with 85 assists will likely have 90+ assists and could be closer to Kucherov and McDavid in assists than the second player in the Rocket race will be to Matthews.

Scoring is up but only one guy is going for 70 and will score more than 60.

Objectively, Thornton's 96 assists are more impressive than 100 assists in today's game because the second best player to Thornton's 96 was Spezza with 71 assists.

Currently, Matthews is tied with Ovechkin in having the largest lead in a Rocket race in the salary cap era.

Ovechkin had 65, 2nd place had 52. Matthews is currently up 13 as well.
If you think it would be cool why wouldn’t you want him to do it?

He plays for Toronto.

I would give it to Kucherov this year, some of the assists this guy is getting are basically the same thing as scoring a goal, he might be the best playmaker in the league. He's like what 50+ points ahead of his closest teammate ? And dominates the puck whenever he's on the ice. If Matthews had like 10-15 ish more assists I think he would win it, there's just too much of a point difference between him and Kucherov.

Also the Hart is MVP to his team. With how big of a gap there is between Kuch and the next Lightning player, it's hard not to give it to him. It's between him and McDavid for me, but if the season ended today I have Kucherov slightly ahead.
I'd go with MacKinnon if he gets to 50 goals and 130-140 points.

Kucherov plays the easier position and has some ridiculous stat padding going on.

And Kuch is just the worst player out of the 4 by far, can only play the wing and is still bad defensively even with an easier roll.
