Yeah. TDMM wants time too.

Let's chill.

8 hrs + 7 hrs = 15hrs.

My co-GM and I are queued up to pick when our clock begins. (No, no list will be submitted.)

Glad you took TDMM and I being honest that it'll take a little bit of time the most mature way possible

Should be noted that Svedberg beat out Ragulin for his WC All-Star nods. Much much shorter prime than Ragulin though.

Red Sullivan falling to the MLD last year was insanity.

My pick within 5 minutes.
Sullivan and Svedberg are both good picks in my eyes; I almost took Sullivan with my last pick, and considered Svedberg earlier for my Montreal team.

Literally had to triple check that Sullivan wasn’t taken last year and the. Re-convince myself that he was a good pick here. Perfect fit for a forechecking team

Yes, he should be as nature as the guy who’s refusing to leave a list out of spite.
Spite?

Lol.

It's principle.

If I expect either I or my co-GM will be available ANYTIME during our draft clock window, then we will make our pick. If we think we can't make our clock, we will submit a list.

His scoring isn't horrifically tilted towards the PP, his 7 year VsX is unspectacular and he hit far more than I remember. Solid 3rd banana at 40 teams

It’s a shame he played his entire career on such crappy teams. That’s a player that quite frankly never really had a chance to win. Like, at all. 1500 regular season games and only 55 playoff games. Gotta feel for the guy..

Doan is a pretty good pick at this point. Just a solid dependable all-around player.
I never explained to you why your co-GM panned him.

It's because he's a pretty good mediocre player. All-time great on the pp? No. On the pk? No.

I would draft him as a decent 13th forward but i haven't been in a 60-team draft yet.

I'll pick one of the best defensive defensemen of the 1970s - Dave Burrows, D

Defensive defensemen who play for weak recent expansion teams usually don't get recognition. But Burrows got fair amount of it:

Hart: 10th in 1976
Norris: 8th in 1974, 8th in 1985, 7th in 1976
All Star Games: 1974, 1976, 1980

______________

Burrows finished top 5 in the "defensive defenseman" category in every healthy year of his career for which we have a poll (he was injured in 1979):

1974: Best Defensive Defenseman
Bill White (Borje Salming, Jacques Laperriere, xxxxxxxxxx, Dave Burrows)
- note that Brad Park, Serge Savard and Bobby Orr were all healthy and in their primes in 73-74.

1976: Best Defensive Defenseman
Larry Robinson (Bill White, Denis Potvin, Dave Burrows, Terry Harper)
- note that Serge Savard and Borje Salming were both healthy and in their primes in 75-76 (Park was banged up and Orr was hurting badly).

1980: Best Defensive Defenseman
1 Larry Robinson 2 Serge Savard 3 Dave Burrows

- there were a lot of excellent defensive defensemen not on the above list who had healthy prime years in 79-80 (the poll was taken before the 80-81 season), including Denis Potvin and Borje Salming.

(commentary copied from Sturminator)

____________

Burrows saw a massive amount of ice time on the PK, and almost singlehandly made the PK respectable on an otherwise awful Penguins team.

His defensive IQ and skating makes him the perfect partner for Frank Patrick, allowing Patrick to roam around the ice looking to create offense and make big hits.

His penalty killing acumen enables me to take Brad Park off the 1st PK and give Park more ES and PP ice time.

That's way too harsh on Doan. I do agree that as a "jack of all trades, master of none," he shouldn't see much time on either special team if you can help it.

With a division that features Trottier, Lindros, Sundin, etc, Saskatoon wants a high end defensive C that can match up with the big boys physically speaking.

Snipers select:

John Madden, C/LW

Doan vs. Guerin was something I quickly considered, but my Guerin pick was made on the rush. They look similar to me intuitively. Proven chemistry with Crosby made it an easy decision in favor of Guerin.
