What did he do?
"Heatbutt" a Colombian defender after the whistle. BTW, he was punished with 4 games out.
What did he do?
Just watched the "headbutt". Are some of you for real? This is why soccer is so heavily criticized. Match ejection, sure... but suspending him afterwards??

****ing embarrassing. Soccer needs more physicality like this, not less. Antics like this are made possible because somewhere along the way someone thought it would be a good idea to stop banning pretty much all physical contact in the sport.
Flopping is big because of this, too.
Wish a fight ACTUALLY broke out after this. The rivalry would only get better. Smh.

The Brazilian women flop as much as their male counterparts
Gameday
Gonna really need to play tough on Japan. They rarely give up the ball when they have it. Need to use our size and speed. Play in behind them. Let Morgan run to the ball.
needs more Kelley O'Hara. definitely needs more Kelley O'Hara.
Has anyone gone to an NYCFC game yet? Where are the best seats? To be honest, the entire arrangement looks atrocious.

Carli Lloyd for president
A tale of two tournaments for Lloyd. She was absolutely dreadful in group play. Turnover machine. After that PK, it really turned for her. What confidence to strike that ball from midfield like that.
Great tournament![]()
here's two countries in usa and japan that would like to use their women's team in the men's cup.![]()
USWNT is in such an odd state right now. For all things considered, this is a transition tournament, yet, here they are in the championship game.
You've got the old guard like Wambach, Pinoe, Lloyd, Morgan to an extent. And you've got the up and coming players like Bryan, O'Hara, Leroux, Press, etc.. who are capable of the playing time but not getting it this tournament.
They're already calling this USWNT a dynasty... I don't think their run is going to end any time soon.
Morgan is 26, same age as O'Hara, Press, and Leroux.
it just feels like she's been around forever.
