Super happy for him. Shrewd trade by the Av's, it has paid off in spades.
Colorado won, it remains to be seen if we won, that depends on how those assets develop. This was one of those super rare trades where both teams win.
Congrats to Lehkonen on your Cup. Now get that big boat day that you deserve.

He literally went out and got his. Good for Lehky!Lehkonen is just such a likeable player. Really glad he's getting another chance at the cup
By the time the team is good, he would be a lot older. He would also not be a difference maker like in Colorado since we don't have the likes of MacKinnon and Makar. The team did him good by giving a chance to win elsewhere and up his value on the market which would not have happened here. You just don't give a good, developed, useful player like Lekky for a raw rookie. He will turn 27 next week. Still lots of good seasons ahead.
And now we are hearing a similar tune about Josh Anderson in this board lol.You guys want to hear a joke?
There was quite a few people here who claimed Lehkonen was a good 4th liner that was unfortunately overplayed higher up the lineup due to overall low quality of our team.
Really like Barron's game, and we also got a 2nd so this is a win win!!let us hope that Barron can be as beneficial to us as Lehky has been to the Avs!
LOL..............played with Mackinnon during the playoffs!!!You guys want to hear a joke?

If he wants to stay long term with Colorado, he might accept that... But if he waits next season, he could get more...Happy for Lekky too!!
Thinking he will get a 5 yr deal worth 20M now! 4M per sounds right for the kid.
Hughes had to trade some good contracts because all the bad contracts had us way over the cap while in last place. You just don't give a good, developed, useful player like Lekky for a raw rookie. He will turn 27 next week. Still lots of good seasons ahead.
We can't even afford him. This season will be for dumping contracts. You just don't give a good, developed, useful player like Lekky for a raw rookie. He will turn 27 next week. Still lots of good seasons ahead.
