Listening to Quinn and the MSG panel, big expectation is Panarin elevating his teammates.

Really happy for Zibby. If he can stay healthy we will finally see his true potential alongside one of the games most dynamic playmakers.

Also wonder if instead of a bridge deal, maybe commit more term for Buch now. His inconsistency may have been a god send to lock him up before he racks up points in the top 6 alongside Panarin or Kakko.

In chicago it was his first and second seasons in nhl + he often just played in favour of Kane / Columbus - he just played full playmaker for 2 seasons,because Atkinson and Dubois absolutely not a playmakers.I don't think i can remember a single cbj game where Panarin has more than 2 good chances to score created by his linemates.

First, we should not consider Chicago here as he did not left them, on the contrary, he signed with them for 2 years and then was traded. In my opinion (not much of a specialist here) in Columbus he had no linemates to match his skill. Rangers has it all - beautiful city, worlds best arena to play, original 6 team, top linemates available, even the attitude of the organisation (I was amazed you guys get him a really good interpreter - that is the FIRST time in Artemi's 4 years in the NHL. All previous translations were really awful, and partially this is the reason of some wrong impressions about the guy you can see in media). I think he was right to leave some money on the table just to get a chance to make his dream true.
Cant wait to season to start. Go Rangers, now I am your fan too :)))))

I dunno about that. I hope you are right, but they are different players. Gabby was a 40-40 sniper, Panarin is more a 30-50 puck carrier. If he can come in and make the immediate impact that Gaborik did, we will be sitting pretty next season. It will require him to come in firing on all cylinders, though. That 2009 season was pure magic by Gabby. He had 2 40 goal seasons with us. One of the rare FA pickups of ours that seriously paid off.

The Russia team this year at the World Championship is probably the strongest I've ever seen.

Tarasenko too. Usually a lot of those don't go since they're still in the playoffs but I guess that's what happens when most of the powerhouses get eliminated in the 1st round.

Predicting a Cup winner way too many factors break your way to but ... you NYRer fans' chances just got A LOT better. Good for you.

AP can do it all AND he makes the guys on ice w/ him better. His "chemistry" w/ Kane was instantaneous and if he can duplicate it w/ Kakko, rest of the league look out!

But we're still gonna beat yas twice next season!
And would love an original 6 Final, too.

Gaborik was the better goal scorer but Panarin is much more of a driver offensively. Gaborik would disappear and quick strike, Panarin will hold onto the puck for 45 seconds and set someone up for a tap in.

Nope. His explanation is this has nothing to do with the contract, he just was not invited. Some people think that is because his comments about Russias internet thing, others think he was not invited, because people back in Russia thought he will not come, but anyway - he was not invited and he said he would have been there.
