Biron, if he clears could just be sent down to get Minutes as he had a short training camp and Rangers could assess from there. They won't miss him until Oct. 29 when they play a back-back @ the Islanders. there are 5 Wolfpack games between now and then.

I think he made those comments assuming he was not claimed. May be he doesn't want to ride a bus at this stage in his life or may be he thinks he's just done.

Was it ever discovered why he missed the first few days of camp? I think it was for family reasons but no specifics. Possibly its still not resolved and its messing w his head?

I think he understands his role at this point and doesn't want to play int he AHL. The guy seems like he doesn't NEED the money, especially if they have other businesses up and running. Maybe he decides to retire and take the rest of the season off and then gets on TV somewhere. I'd love to see him on MSG but my feeling is he goes back to do some work with the Sabres.

Looks like Miller will be back

Nash "still feeling some symptoms" according to Vigneault. Obviously out Weds in DC, doubtful for Sat a NJ. Miller likely to be recalled.

Vigneault says #NYR, with Nash and Hagelin out, looking to bring some more skill into lineup. So, Asham out, either Miller or Kreider up?

Why Asham over Dorsett?

Dorsett can actually play. Forget about the stupid penalties. Asham and Powe were waived in June. You knew the writing was on the wall with Asham. Powe is already in the AHL.

Good for Cam. He's earned the opportunity.

This. It has been too long since this organization has been able to go full time with e back-up they developed.

Big opportunity for Missaen as well in the AHL. I wonder who comes up to back him up? Stajcer? Or do they promote Malcolm who they just signed to a AHL deal?

AV wanted the backup to play 20 games now he can, AV finally showing signs of life with this purge...

I think that the organization told him to take his time in evaluating some players. He did that, and now he makes his mark. 5 games in + pre-season is a good amount of time for players to show what they have.

I have a hard time believing Miller and Kreider are ready now after playing only 3-4 games in the AHL. If Miller is going to be called up only to be sent back down again in a week or so, that's just stupid. The organization needs to let them develop in Hartford. Let Powe or Haley replace Asham on the roster for now.

More possible moves?

I am gonna guess that means Asham clears and who are they gonna call up.

Talbot is the obvious for Biron

Fast may go down for another kid as another move.

I am completely fine with dumping any UFA vet. Rather see a trade but Boyle, Moore, Pyatt, Pouliott, Asham, Powe, Zuccarello, Biron...dime a dozen. Shake it up

Only guys that should stay this yr for sure are Richards( I know its nuts to say but true), Stepan, Callahan, Nash, Brassard, Hagelin and I still like Dorsett he just needs to tone it down a bit.

They have kids knocking at the door but I really don't want them rushed.

I think neither will be claimed. I mean how many teams have significantly worse backups than Biron since last season?

I know I may have my tinfoil hat on here, but does anyone think they want to see what they have in Talbot this season a little bit just in case Hank decides to bolt?

Could this be posturing a little as well? You want how much? Well we have this kid coming up behind you...

Sather might be thinking total rebuild if this season keeps going the way it is. that means a rethink on Hank. You are on to something.

People still want Avery back, yet won't put up with Dorsett. Mind bottling.

Stupid penalties aside Dorsett is more talented than Avery and gets under the opponents skin almost as good. He needs to learn when it's not going to work in St. Louis one of the refs talked to him very early in the game and it was clear he was telling him he was going to watch him close. Next shift he takes his first penalty, one that was a pretty weak call. All down hill from there.

Yet boyle, pyatt, d moore and pouliot continue to get away hogging a roster spot

I almost hope Boyle is moved just so the whining about him ceases. He's a very, very good 4th liner who can fit in on the 3rd line when needed. He's excellent defensively and one of our best PKers.

Had Boyle not had that great 20G season, the whining about him wouldn't exist. Unfortunately (and ironically), he did have it and now we have people calling for him to be waived. Utterly absurd.
