we know there's pressure in Toronto and that UFAs probably steer away from that place to avoid it, but I didn't realize it could be bad enough for a roster to intentionally skip a routined stick salute to the fans after a win

I could never be a fan of an organization so full of egos.
The contrast between Ottawa and TO is one of the big reasons I am proud to be a senators fan.
Respect to our team.

No kidding. The fans have dealt with nearly 40 years worth of garbage since 1967.

And to do that after those disgusting "efforts" against Buffalo and Nashville? If those players thought there was pressure playing in Toronto before, they haven't seen anything yet. Leaf fans are amongst the most forgiving int eh league....but that patience and forgiveness has just been wiped out with that move.

Sharks just got a nice fudging deal.

Seriously.

You thought Dallas's blueline was bad yesterday? Well, today they'll be playing Demers on that back end instead of Dillon. That's worse.

I realize that the relationship between the Stars and Dillon was dicey because of the recent contract negotiations, and Dillon wasn't likely to re-up with the Stars, but Demers and a 3rd? That's the best you can get?

I don't get why they didn't wait until the deadline. This makes their playoff chances even worse, as their defence was already kind of sieve-like, and now you subtract one of their better defensive defencemen and replace him with Demers? Woof. They'd better hope that Demers' offensive skills help them win games 6-5, because they certainly won't be winning the one-goal, low-scoring games.

So apparently the Devils are starting Schneider for his 20th straight game. Is he ever going to get a rest? Him getting game after game might not affect him now, but it could affect him near the end of the season.

Is their coach a moron?

I've got a buddy who plays goalie atleast 10 games a week. He's in great shape and says he doesn't really get tired.
NHL players play 82 games a year, how come goalies can't without getting tired? I always wondered that, and figured it had a lot to do with just switching it up for the sakes of getting the backup some games

Justin Shultz, picture a Karlsson that's half as good offensively and twice as bad defensively, yikes

I think it comes down to mental fatigue more than physical, as they are always having to move and track the puck, and all of the players, while anticipating plays and reflexively reacting to last minute changes.

On the physical side, they do wear far more equipment, and hold unnatural positions for long periods of the game.

I really like the Raptors, but I feel conflicted because they are owned by MLSE

A lot depends on the system the team uses.

Martin fatty fatty fat fat Brodeur didn't last until his 40s because of his super-amazing physique. Hell, anyone posting here could've had a decent record for New Jersey back in the 1990s the way they played.

As much as I hate the Leafs, they have rebounded very well from that embarrassment against the Preds.

What a lousy day today.

Sens lose. Leafs win which knocks the Sens out of the last wildcard spot. Habs win.

Panthers get a point and now they are just 2 points behind the Sens.

:(

not a bad day for the Sens. with the Leafs winning in regulation, it keeps both them and the Wings within reach

Oilers need at least 4 goals to win tonight vs the Hawks. Make it 5 they need to win tonight after a sweet goal by Ference. or 6
