Crosbys the best player in the game by a mile....1 game does not a series make.

Bostons playing the best hockey of their season BY FAR since that 3rd period in Toronto...but Pittsburghs still the better team.

Never said our speed was horrible(potential wise). I'm saying we are not a fast attack team. This is coupled with a horrendous breakout and transition game.

We never utilized any sort of speed against the Bruins. Thats all I'm saying.

Agreed. Boston had us figured out from the beginning. They never retreated past the red line because they always had ample time to step up. It always seemed like there was always one player leading the rush and everyone else going off for a change. We are terrible at puck possession.

Not sure if anyone brought it up, but Malkin's fight strap was not tied down so I'm curious why he didn't get a game misconduct.

Apparently you have to lose the jersey in the fight for it to be a game misconduct.

A player who engages in a fight and whose jersey is not properly “tied-down†(jersey properly fastened to pants), and who loses his jersey (completely off his torso) in that altercation, shall receive a game misconduct penalty. If the player loses his jersey despite the tie down remaining intact and attached to the pants, the game misconduct is not applicable, however this must be reported to the League office so that the jersey and the tie down can be examined.

love ranger fans (most of them) but damn how can you not like guys like Horton, Bergy, Lucic and Marchand etc ? They play hard as hell and never give up.:handclap:

I like Bergeron very much. Horton and Lucic are also likeable.

I hate Marchand. Don't know if it's just his face or his diving/cheap-shotting.

Besides Marchand and Ference, don't really have an issue with the Bruins that much TBH. I hated them a lot more before our playoff series, but they played shockingly clean and didn't dive at all.

Same here. Bruins gained a lot of respect in the series against us. It's just McQuaid, Ference and Marchand that are not very likable.

I don't exactly like Marchand, but I think he's kinda hilarious. Looks like a rat and fully lives up to that.

Marchand is reminds me of Burrows. players and fans that other teams hate but im sure if they had them on their team they would feel different.. they are better than Avery but some fans rather still think he is the Rangers savior :help: its the past let it stay there

Marchand in a full season is a 30 goal scorer and gets 30 assists. He is Avery but far more talented so the hate for him is questionable at best.

No one questions his talent, it's all the stupid crap he does that makes so unlikable. If he wasn't a Bruin you'd probably feel the same way

I agree . That being said he has toned it down. Your fan base loved Avery so are you kidding me ? Marchand is 10 times the player Avery ever could have been. To quote tort's he was best player versus the Rangers and Tort's love him or not knows the game first hand.

Avery was (and still is) an idiot and I didn't like him while he was here so I don't know why you keep bringing him up. You asked why people don't like him, I told you why I don't (and I think others are in the same boat).

He's a good player, he's also a dick

That's nice.

He's still a rat faced little puke who flops all over the place.

Great player, but he's a piece of ****. Straight up.

Marchand was the best player against the Rangers? Absolutely not.

And I find it completely hilarious that every fan of every other team hated Avery so damn much when plenty of teams have players exactly like him. I could search the Bruins forum right now and I'll probably find hundreds of posts about people *****ing about Avery, but you have a POS like Marchand, who's dirty, unlike Avery.

People love to hate Avery and call him dirty, but there's not a single dirty thing he has ever done and he was never suspended for anything actually involving hockey.

Marchand is obviously the better player, but bringing up Avery is idiotic.

Except in goal, on defense, and coaching...and the forwards aren't that much of a Pens' margin, either. So, yeah...maybe not.

Cindy cracks me up he cross checks Rask, when Chara's not looking, pushes Chara, when the refs in between them and NBC-NOTHING BUT CROSBY says he's trying to get in the Bruins heads...hahahaha, by the way doesn't playing like a spoiled brat, take Cindy out of his game?

Cooke- repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat offender, this why the NHL gets no respect, throw the book at this clown

The only dirty thing I can recall Avery doing was when he slashed Komisarek in the ankle. I believe that was in 2010.
