We have Ras signed for 4 more years at $1 mil less a year.

I take Ras every time over Nurse. Nurse has been putting up decent points the past year and a half, but I don't see it defensively with him. Dude got manhandled by Mangianpane in the Edmonton game 2 games ago in Edmonton.

Not a huge Nurse fan; not a bad move by Holland cuz if Broberg and Bouchard develop well they can cut Nurse loose and build a defence around those two and Bear/Jones with Klefbom around as a veteran.

Hmmm..It would have been frolik AND 1st and maybe a bit more for Zucker.....that would be too much. I don't think Trev was close to that.

That's Calen Addison. I'd say if the offer was comparable, it was probably Frolik, Bennett and a 1st.

Crosby and Malkin with just a few good years left so Pens should try for another Cup.

For Wild a solid, solid return. Liked Addison at WJC and a 1st is always a good thing.

Probably more than I would want to give up for Zucker, even considering how much term he has left. Very high on Addison personally though.

I can see why Rutherford would want to go for it.

Or Kylington...either way it's a lot to pay for a guy that probably wont help the Flames that much anyway.
Pens are closer to the cup with Crosby and Malkin. They are running out of time.

Pens have to make these kinds of moves. While you have Geno and Sid... you're going for it. Zucker is going to be a great add for them.

When evaluating Pens trades, you gotta take off Flames vision, where every year you'll be somewhere on the bubble. If you're the Pens you go for it every single year when you have two studs, because you're a cup favourite every season.

I agree with what you're saying but I sincerely hope the Oilers use this logic in the years to come

He's going to be rushed back. Oilers have a murderers row of games coming up, with most of them on the road. Something like Tampa, Florida, Carolina, Boston.

Without McDavid their PP is toast, and that's the main reason they're even above .500

Addison is a really good prospect. I don’t like this at all for The pens.
As someone whose always had the Pens as my #2 team I agree to a point, but he's at least 3 years away from significantly contributing. And that is about the end of the window. So most of us are cool with going for it. Zucker on paper should fit perfectly, and he has term left. You gotta pay for that

Plus now the other team can match their best D against Draisatl

Has anyone gone to the Oiler board and asked, "How they think they'll do with out McDavid? (not trolling)"
.500 hockey, Tippet is a trap coach who has had pretty much limited talent rosters in Arizona, not in too much of a panic right now TBH. Sucks though from a fan perspective but long run this stretch will really weed out the passengers(although most Oiler fans know who they are), adversity is not always a bad thing for teams.
For example even you guys down Giordano for a bit will in the long run help out your younger defesmen develop quicker and will weed out the ones you do not want.
Not that I want McDavid out, do not get me wrong there.
