Yeah, it feels like this is the year that the Laffs actually make it out of the first round. I hope not, but I don't think the Lightning have the Leafs terrified like in other years.

Nice that expansion teams get infinite depth at D compared to a lot of current NHL teams where its hard to find 6 capable D-men let alone guys that can capably replace them.

The NHL owners aren't complaining though - they pocketed all of that sweet, sweet expansion fee money without having to share a cent with the players. That's why there is talk of MORE expansion in Utah and Atlanta.

I don’t think so- Lightning really weren’t supposed to be those guys this year, and they’ve looked the better team throughout much of the series. If Toronto gets outplayed by them then Boston is gonna feed ‘em their lunch. I think they win the series, but they’re still headcases and I don’t see em going far.

The officiating in this leagues is beyond repair as long as cavemen run discipline.

The linesman called it a major, the officials reviewed it and reduced it to a minor. The puck is 40' gone, there is no reason to make that hit and he uses his arm to drive McCann's head into the glass. It would be a shame if someone did that back to Makar. A real shame.

All Tampa has been doing against us is headhunting and attacking our players post play not sure why anyone hates the Leafs that much other than their fans but other than Matthews suspension a few years ago they pretty much do nothing to hurt the Sabres for several years now.
