TDA spearing Perry has fans of 30 teams struggling to figure out who to root for.

Same thing I thought on the main forum: dirty play on dirty player?

Spit on a guy, get three. Jab someone in the nads, 2. Elbow someone in the face a few days after coming back from being suspended for 2 games for elbowing? 2.
Wonder if Zegras and his Michigan bs has the dinosaurs embarking on a stealth re-goonification campaign? :sarcasm:

TPegs is going to want a new arena on the public dole and WNY and NY in general will likely give it to him.
Makes no sense to me that he would want a new arena if he actually holds out for one. The structure and location of the existing one is fine. Maybe it could use a makeover and some structural repairs/upgrades but otherwise it seems like something that could be done through renovations like they did with MSG.

The longer they wait on improvements and renovations, the higher the cost will be to all. At what point do the renovations eclipse the threshold for an arena change? And when he isn't going to be the person footing the bill since WNYers seem to be easy marks for panicking to our public officials about our sports teams, seeing them wanting a new place to play, perhaps if they take the Skyway down and placing it beside the current side of Harbor Ctr. even.

The skyway better not come down. Those that live south of Buffalo would be screwed. There is nothing wrong with it.

The city should call his bluff and start developing those huge empty parking lots that would ideal to put a new arena adjacent to the Pegula's hotel, practice arena, bar. They've invested a ton in that immediate 10 block radius. IF there is no place to put an new Arena downtown, they'll be forced to fix up the one they have.

If anything it sounds like he's using the same script with the Bills in regard to a new Arena. Wait until the team is good and suddenly "Oh no, this is TOO EXPENSIVE to fix up, guess I need a new one! Maybe the good people of AUSTIN want a hockey team"

That implies there is someone who isn't beholden to either TPegs or to the old Buffalo-Niagara Partnership cronies to do that.

The bolded is the problem. There are so many common sense solutions that could be done, which aren't done because the same people don't want it.

I hold nothing against Pegula. At least he's trying.

Yeah, that group are one of the biggest batches of obstructionists who enjoy being a small fish in a tiny bowl than just about every other force acting on the area other than rust belt manufacturing migration. They actively keep outsiders out so they maintain their little fiefdom where they get to seem important. If it wasn't clear... I loathe that group.

Crazy to have Grier, Drury, and Briere all be GMs now and all of them to be on the same team just 15 years ago.

Fans turned on Chuck Fletcher. They wanted more results at the trade deadline. They thought he could have traded JVR.

Similar in production to when KA only traded Hagg last year and got a 6th rounder. However, Sabres were further along in collecting top prospects so Adams leash was longer.
